    Warwick

    2:20-Kawssaj 8/13 BOG

3rd Foal of 1000 Guineas winner Ameerat and the other 2 foals have both achieved some success. He shaped with plenty of promise on debut when beaten just 2L by Voodoo Prince at Haydock.Sets the standard on form here and with the usual improvement expected from debut to 2nd run can take this maiden here.

    4:05-Khor Sheed-2/1BOG

Won twice from 5 starts as a juvenile including a listed race as this race today is.She also won a valuable sales race at Headquarters. She has been placed both starts this season including when 2nd over a extended 6f at Nottingham the last day. Will love the step back up to 7f which could see somemore improvement.

    Ffos Laas

    2:35-Lava Lamp(NAP) 11/4 BOG

Fair stayer on the flat for Geoff Harker and has produced a similar level of form over hurdles,Winning on debut at Plumpton before finishing 2nd the last 2 times he has seen the racetrack. Is finally visored here which is a positive as he often wore won on the flat.

    3:45-Space Telescope E/W 7/1BOG

Quirky Customer but did well over hurdles last summer,Winning twice at Worcester.Finished a good 3rd at Market Rasen after 10 months off and would have finished much closer but making a mistake at the last.

Ive also had a bet on sticks horse at Warwick

After 117 on Tuesday, you had 149 posts yesterday and this daily thread is rapidly becoming the standard: well done Famous. All we need is others like Sir B Chuckles and Stick and it will be the best of times.

Did anyone see the last at Kempton last night on TV? I was stood bang on the finishing line and am convinced that Loden won.

Even the cameras folowed Loden after the finish assuming it had won.

A photo was called and a grainy image came onto the big screen which still seemed to be inconclusive and at the very worst a dead heat. They awarded the race to Denton. The bookies looked surprised and packed up as quickly as they could!!

I cant check at work but was wondering whether anyone could let me know?

Morning all. I like the look of sir johnson in the 18.05 at Ffos Lass - Thought he won well last time out and fancy him to go in again today.

    Good luck

I'm shrouded in disillusionment today having done my dough on Catamount in the 7.00 at Naas yesterday evening. I was counting my winnings a furlong out and the thing got nabbed on the line by a 2YO gelding. I think its the most disappointed I've ever been after a race (not because of the amount - wasn't that much - but the fact that it got beat, the thing was 4L clear a furlong out).

So I can't be bothered today. Good luck to everyone who does though.

I don't think I need to reconsider anything. if it loses it loses and i'll be a couple of quid worse off. Hardly the end of the world is it? Anyway, going in on a Pipe plot is always very dodgy. Him and his old man are the ronnie and reggie of british horse racing.

    Morning all,

Very interesting to see if Michael Owen's Monster of a horse wins at Newcastle today!!

    My bets -

Hamilton 7.00 - New Decade - A very weak maiden auction race in which the favourite is eminently beatable and I think New Decade showed that he was just too green to do himself justice on debut. He was widest of all and ran very green. He will surely come on for that run and minimal improvement will see him involved, if he improves rapidly he could prove too good for this field. 1pt 5/1 BOG.

Leicester 7.10 - Gadreel - A horse who wasn't impressive on debut but I am willing to give this colt the benefit of doubt from that race. He was slowest away and travelled widest of all, and he wasn't given a hard time when he wasn't able to get competitive. He should come on a good deal for his debut and I think he could put in a bold show at big odds. 0.5pt EW 16/1 BOG

Newcastle 2.10 - Kenny Powers - Interesting Novice race but I think this horse is another who will improve from first to second run and I think they have put him in a winnable race here. He stayed on really nicely from the back on debut and if he is sharper for that outing I can see him taking a good hand in this race. 1pt 6/1 BOG

Newcastle 2.40 - Captivity - A very interesting and potentially informative maiden in which Godolphin have two runners, but Tom Dascombe has the odds on favourite with Electric Qatar who they note "He is a monster of a horse and even though we fancy him, I'm not backing him at them odds when he has never seen a race course before." Very sound advice by Michael Owen, and I think Captivity has some interesting breeding and is likely to run a big race at fair EW odds, he is related to winners at this sort of trip. 0.5pt EW 12/1 BOG

Also doing a double with the two Dascombe runners and I am backing the one stick noted elsewhere

Morning Famous and All, thanks for the thread.

My Nap for today is Dane Cottage in the 430 at Newcastle, Mr Kingscote rides for B Ellison whose stable is in fine form at the present.

3.30 Picabo - if it wins Stick said nothing, but if it loses its all his fault.

    Morning:
Famous: Have to admit I was a shade leery when you "took over" the DT, but the thread is doing well, have to admit. Well done!
As for me, have nothing important to say, but will try a nap today.........:emoticon-0101-sadsm

4:30 Newcastle - Ay Tay Tate

(Nasty 6lb penalty for his Carlisle win on penultimate run, but if he has recovered from his exertions when finishing a good 2nd at Beverley LTO, should run well. Pretty moderate field?).

Evan Williams likes to have a winner at Ffos Las and I think he has an excellent chance of a double today courtesy of Lava Lamp in the 2.35 and Siberian Tiger in the 4.20. Also the Bowen horses remain in cracking form and I like the chances of Tout Regulier in the 3.45.
