Sorry,Project, but I don't understand this. What "contempt" are you referring to? My post was merely pointing the out obvious, that the word "linked" is used frequently, and equally frequently, amounts to nothing. If you have a problem with that opinion, well, guess what, that's YOUR problem,so don't try and make it mine.
Still no reason to do what they did so shabbily. A complete lack of class was exhibited by management. Laudrup deserved better.
Rest assured,Dragon, the anti Laudrup brigade are now spitting blood that he has received ANY sort of financial settlement. Their stance that Laudrup is the devil incarnate has been totally destroyed. Some posters are now urging that we "move on",i.e.,forget all about Laudrup. Whilst others see a distinct possibility that he may even be to blame for The Swans' almost losing their League status back in 2003.
I'm commenting for their reason to sack Laudrup. I've previously commented that I disagree with the way he had been sacked, but agree that he had to go.
I'm not sure you are right there,Valley. But he couldn't have done it without Laudrup's 24 point bonanza. He had a solid start on which to build. So,the bottom line is that they BOTH "kept us up",but Laudrup's contribution was 33.33333% more than Monk's. And,as someone else would eloquently put it,that's a FACT!
don't think either monk or laudrup kept us up, the players did, impervious to the crap that was going on at the club
Oh, there I was thinking your selective criticism in this thread was indeed a problem of your own making. Silly me. Thank you for pointing out that your inability to remain unbiased and display consistency is in fact my fault, I learn something every day.
Come on now Vetch that's way over the top! Who the hell is spitting blood over Laudrup? Not even Dai is, he might well be dancing on the rooftops over his sacking but I don't see anyone getting worked up over his contract settlement, anyway it was the cost of keeping our Premiership pot of gold, and I'm a very happy bunny, even with £3 Million to send him on his way!...................
Who cares, its done it's dusted and we are still in the premiership. what laudrup does from now on in has nothing to do with us...he is no longer an issue to the club...
"Spitting blood","dancing on the rooftops",there's no difference, just figures of speech. There are quite a few on here who wish Laudrup ill,and that cannot be denied.
