Just been reading about Ronnnie O'Sullivan winning his first ranking event for 21 MONTHS and can only wonder what he could've achieved if his head was right!!! Gazza's another example.... true genius' that have never achieved anywhere near what they should've with the talent they were given. Find it quite sad really.
cue the but he won ra champiuns leeg wae barsha so he dud. aye I'm aware of this but he could of won alot more
Damned if he stays in a club that he loves, damned if he pisses off to Bursaspor half way through the season.
I agree he had potential. But he's not in the same bracket as the people mentioned who had so much natural talent. He still has pace and is a good finisher. Everything in between is ****ing rubbish.
It puzzles me slightly whenever this topic comes up. Talent for me includes the mental attributes necessary for success, so those who fail due to lacking them simply did not have the all-round talent required. Gazza is slightly different in that his injuries really did play a big part in him not achieving his potential, the break certainly changed him as a player and a person.
please log in to view this image Could of been one of the best quarter backs all time. Then gets jail for dog fighting.
That's a good point. I was referring really though I suppose to the natural ability they had in their chosen sport.
The biggest waste of talent has to be George Best. He could have been the best player in the world but he could not lay off the sauce. It saddens me to think how his career ended so early and he didn't fulfill his full potential
