Pretty much <ok> I will vote from time to time. I simply get a tombola out and see what happens

Its nice to have a change now and again. Depends whats needed at the time as it all tends to go in cycles. One thing for sure you can't let them just have term after term, every single one of them (party and individual) is a corrupt bastard. Give them power for too long, they all get power crazy and forget any of of the priniciples they were elected upon.

The political system in this country is a bit of a farce truth be told. Its our farce though. Having worked in Government early in my working life, I saw first hand what goes on at the higher echelons of the civil service. It really is comical the way money is pissed away and syphoned off. Then you have the policy making units - some brilliant minds lurk in those parts <laugh> That's not to say there weren't some genuinely good hard working people, or some people with very good ideas of how to spend money and improve things.

I haven't lived under any other political systems, having lived in different parts of the UK throughout my life. I'd imagine most have some issues. It could be a lot worse.

I don't see there's much choice in the matter really. Just say, and which is quite likely, Ed 'I feed my family on 80 pounds a week' Milliband is elected, he's not going to be an improvement. I mean he's so out of touch he must think that the average grocery bill for a family of four is somewhere around 50 pounds because even he can't be so stupid as to think that the rest of the country is so stupid they think that a millionaire from primrose hill spends less than they do. Face it, he's a posh boy just like Cameron, who grew up in a sheltered privileged bubble and has no clue whatsoever about how ordinary people live. So even had he the best will in the world for the country (which judging by his brother and the people he surrounds himself with I find highly unlikely) he's not going to tackle anything relevant because he does not even begin to understand what the problems are in the first place. Sure he'll bang on about zero hour contracts, but I doubt he has any family - like most of us do - who are on one, so he'll end up folding to the likes of Lord Sugar. And mostly he'll end up just doing things to please his upper class left wing friends.

I also really don't trust his greasy fat chancer oppo Ed Balls.

So I reckon protest voting is the way to go. Especially in places like the North East where Labour just takes support for granted so you end up in a situation where both parties don't give two ****s about the region. If Labour actually had to fight NE seats, things might be a little bit different.

ETA: And in fact all you really need to know about British politicians is that the ones who run our schools won't let their own kids within a million miles of them. Says it all really about their attitude towards the general public.
