Good news for me, it's a short trip and there's a pub near the ground that does excellent fish & chips Bad news because I've had trouble the last 2 times I've gone with Sunderland. They haven't calmed down either, there was some serious bother there this season.
Coaches on for it https://mobile.twitter.com/ALS_Fanz...mp;utm_campaign=ALS_Fanzine&utm_medium=fb
Only joking mate, I'm trying to fill the expletive void while Comm's under house arrest TBH Grimsby is grim ...... there are loads of side streets where the coaches leave the ground and drive towards the M180. They throw stones at the coaches as they pass by then run down the street if they stop. We ****ed them right up one year, when the game was abandoned through torrential rain by doing a left and left so we came up behind them. The lads were out of the minibus, clouted them and back in before they could say, "Ee bah gum." It was the original Blackhawk Down but with a bunch of pissheads and a battered old Transit. Only the primitive unwashed locals were the same.
Somewhere fun during the w/o 4th August (thank fook I dodged Grimsby) . I have a pass for that week. The Mrs will be at her Ma's and it's the first week of me summer holidays.
Somewhere in France would be lovely, I'd also love a friendly against Rangers at Ibrox for an excuse to head up there and visit my mates in Glasgow. Would be nice if we could organise a home friendly against a big European club (like Juventus at the SoL a few years back) but we only ever seem to do away games these days.
i want that one to be away mate. i went to celtic a couple a seasons ago for pre season and had a mint time
It's strange how they cause very little trouble on their own patch. I'd be happy to to to Scotland despite the Edinburgh trouble we had recently.
With you there mate, would love a weekend in Glasgow. Took the bairn to the Juventus friendly, God how long ago is that now, he must've been about seven at the time?
