    my word.
UIR is having total delusions of Grandeur over on the United board.
Reckons Man United need to sign just one midfielder and they will challenge for the title again <ok>

If they sign 1 midfielder they will have... 1 midfielder

Technically that's an infinity percent improvement over 0 midfielders

As I said elsewhere, they practically have to replace their entire defence. 2 experienced centre halves have left, Evra will probably follow, Raphael is passable but could be replaced. Absolute minimum is probably 2 defenders and a central midfielder. Arguable it is more like 3-4 defenders, 1-2 midfielders and a wide man.

Fergie brought through and purchased a lot of youth that hasn't lived up to the potential. Smalling, Evans, Welbeck and Cleverly are at best squad players.

    http://www1.skysports.com/football/...ba-expects-to-still-be-at-chelsea-next-season

    Striker plot thickens!!

    So Ba apparently staying.

It was also reported on talk sport last night that Patrick Bamford has been told he will be 3rd choice striker next year.

Eto'o looks almost certain not to be with us next year and Jose has also said he wants to keep Torres.

So that's possible Torres, Ba and Bamford before we even look at Lukaku or a new signing which Jose has also confirmed we intend to make. 5 certainly doesn't go into 3!!

How long before they go after Ramsay? Arsenal just can't keep hold of players. How much money must they have lost losing players on frees or reduced fees due to contract issues? RVP, Flamini, Sagna, Nasri etc

    Well run club my arse!

Really can't see both Torres and Ba staying. Think at least one will go. Personally I would have Costa, Lukaku and Bamford.

Agreed. The Torres lip service may have been just to keep confidence up if he does end up staying and/or keeping the transfer fee higher.

I like Torres but you have to think he needs a move back into Europe to reignite his career.

Agreed would love to see Bamford given a chance in some cup games, sub appearances etc.

Kroos now saying he is staying. United just can't attract the bigguns can they ;)

We've been linked with Falcao again on sky.

Think those three would be the perfect combination. A world class striker, a potentially world class striker and a very hot prospect and would all get the game time each of them require in my opinion. I reckon we'll end up selling Lukaku though unfortunately!

We should go all out for Kroos in my opinion! Exactly what we need.

Don't know if I'm all that keen on Falcao or Cavani now to be fair!

Both would be more of a risk than a year ago as well. They've been playing in a poor league, Falcao has just had a horrific injury and Cavani playing out of position. Worth the risk at the 30-35 million bracket but at the 50 million plus they cost a year ago, no way!

Kroos would be great. Even if we wait a year and get him for free ;)

Evra has signed a new one year deal which is great for everybody else as he's terrible.

I reckon Koke would be our best CM option but would cost a bomb especially after going for Costa.

    Pogba would be nice too.

Pogba looks good but is he creative enough? Thinking we need more of a magician in the middle. Should have gone for Moutinho a couple of years ago when 20 million approx. was being mooted. Koke would work but as you say, massive money.
