    Bit odd to add the bit about Andy Butler at the end there..... Are we interested in him? If so would be a very good signing!


    Just doing a bit of research and Sheffield United want him also....

    Is Burns out of contract 30 June 2014? I think he has a contract until 30 June 2015.

    June 2015 he's out of contract.

    He signed a 2 and a half year deal in Christmas 2012.

    Thank you Shiny, so he's going nowhere without a fee at present. I think he is sensibly waiting to see what game time he gets before committing to a new contract.

    Yeah that's what im thinking. IMO though I don't rate him that much, seems to be another one of these had potential at 16/17 now he's entering his 20's he's not showing enough to stay in the team. He is (at the moment) just a average sub that we can bring on to run at a tired defence. Doesn't do enough to push for a starting place.

    Should we belooking at other teams in Lge 1 shedding players and us taking an interest? or should we be looking at say championship teams that have a fringe player or 2 that might be "affordable"

    To be fair Butler is one of the leagues best centre backs. He'll go to Sheffield United, where he is currently (apparently)

    Wilson to a Championship club? I think not.

    And why would we sell Kelly to Oldham? Only if SC does not rate him or we have serious doubts about his fitness after the cruciate operation.
