Lescott on a free is a superb signing. Hangeland isn't bad as an option either.

I still maintain Fletch as a 3rd choice/ back up striker would be a good addition! I WILL NOT BACK DOWN ON THIS! <laugh>

    I'll second that.

Would be a good signing and I doubt he'd cost a bomb either.

Soldado to Athletico Madrid, if Costa is sold to Chelsea? thats one of the more plausible rumours but I hope Adebayor can prove us wrong and be focused for next year, but that will depend on who is manager.

Yeah if Costa does make the move I definitely think Soldado will be off to Atleti.

Ade has been linked to a few Turkish sides if I remember rightly, plus I think his old side Monaco registered a bit of interest, even though they have Falcao, Berba plus Traore to return from Everton.

    Stop being naughty.

I would have Charlie Austin though. I mentioned him before QPR snapped him up.

I wouldn't be shocked to see Ade go, but I'd be shocked to see him go to Turkey. The tea leaves I'm reading indicate he'll stay. I get the feeling no one else is willing to pay that much for him, he just showed how good he could be for us, and so staying would seem the best option for everybody. As with Soldado, of course, it's hard to shake the idea that any move we make will prove to be the wrong one, however.

Rumours that we're going to try and get Alvaro Morata and he's interested in joining us, according to the metro.

Also, Gomes has signed for Watford. - good luck to him. <ok>

    Cheers for the info HBIC.

Obika must have pictures on his phone of Levy naked. Mason is another who seems to be just hanging around in the background, he is a talented kid (well... Not exactly kid anymore) but something just doesn't seem to click with him. Good to see Akindayini got an extended deal, had a decent season for the youths.

Best of luck to Gomes, I've never known a keeper who could make the most unbelievable of saves yet drop the easiest of clangers.

I thought that Gomes would return to Brazil, but I'm quite pleased that he's remained fairly local, as he seems to get on well with his fellow countrymen in our squad.
The physicality of the Championship might trouble him, but I think he'll come good for Watford if they persist with him.

He was very fussy about where he wanted his kids to live, hence him turning down a few loan offers during the past season. Watford keeps him in the area he wants to live, so a good move all round.

Of the other keepers released, Lawrence Vigoroux has been offered the opportunity to reunite with Alex Inglethorpe at Liverpool.

I've come to the conclusion that the only reason Obika and Mason have hung around so long is to fulfill our quota of home-grown players and nothing more - but seeing Ball, Coulthirst, Fredericks, Fryers, Hall, Oduwa, Onomah , Pritchard and Ward listed in the senior player list implies that may soon be coming to an end...

Allegedly even players like Ceballos may count as home-grown based on their time at the
Academy (Siggy apparently counts as home grown because of this due to his early years in
    England) .
