Hello all QPR Not 606'rs I have followed you all since the days of BBC 606 but never felt confident enough to post until now. I just wanted to say how proud YOU all make me feel to be a QPR supporter in the way so many of you have gone out of your way and some even spent your own money to help each other out with tickets to the big game at Wembley on Saturday. ( dear God I hope we win)! Also how many of you are travelling from foreign parts to attend, makes my reason for not being there seem pathetic. I cannot go to the game as a) I am moving house tomorrow and I now live in Devon and am moving to Cornwall, b) no longer a member because as i said I now live in Devon and travelling to games not so easy when your husband does not support the R's and always finds something better to spend spare money on. I hope you all have a fab meet up at Hennessey's, I would say don't get too drunk you miss the occasion, but don't want to sound like your old mum! Probably for some of you I am old enough to be your mum 😃 So I do say, have a fab time at pub and game, have a drink for me and remember us that will be struggling to find somehow to watch cos Sky will have been disconnected and who knows when they will reconnect. Come on U Rssss
That's a smashing first post Cate. Welcome aboard! I hope your move goes well and that we can get read more of your excellent posts on here soon. If you can't get to watch the game come on here. Our match day thread will keep you up to date and it will be the next best thing to being there.
He supports Liverpool, greatest game of my life, for obvious reasons, with him that night under the floodlights at LR when we made the come back with Mackie scoring the winner, even he cheered the Rs that night, maybe I can convert him yet!
Thank you, hoping to make it to a pub if Sky cancelled, enjoy the day, I have been to Wembley many times but never to see the R's so jealous of you all
Even if you cant convert him to a 'real' football team, he can become a closet R. Good luck for the move and werlcome
Well at least in Devon you get first class fresh dairy produce and regular access to wurzel gigs. That's the stereotypes done. There are still ways to catch the games if you want to, online, if you look in the right posts....just make sure you install adblock. I wouldn't worry about posting, as you know the controversial benchmark is fairly high unless you mention Adel Tarrabt. So don't ever mention him is my advice. Got my final ticket from another poster on here who I've never met, also honoured and grateful.
Hi Cate welcome aboard...to the madhouse and join a small subset of girlie posters. From what u said. I am probably old enough to be your Mum. A few words of advice. The lads on here are to a man ...gentlemen. They are kind and generous and put themselves out for you. Try not to go out drinking with them...because you will come away feeling guilty to the number u owe a pint... Your Hubble...actually u r quite lucky...your hubbie understands what it means to support a team, albeit the wrong one. Mine hates all sport and has no understanding. Enjoy watching the footy if you can. But remember this is Rollercoaster Rangers. Nothing is easy...so the lows are very low, but the highs are incredible. Welcome aboard. Love Mum
Welcome Cate. Have no fear about posting, in general we are a friendly bunch. There will be plenty of live streams on which to see the game and no doubt someone will post a few on here. U Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrs!!!
Bollocks. Beth is a 58-year old trucker called Vernon. Cate, this is very exciting as most of us that spend all our spare time on here have never met a real woman before, let alone conversed with one before. I nearly did once, but hyperventilated and had to take a Lemsip. Welcome aboard; please add your voice to Beth's already calming influence here.
That's when we had an ebar that we went for a soothing drink. Where I met my e hubby, Queens...who I may meet for the first time tomorrow... See it so much fun here Cate!!!!
