http://www1.skysports.com/football/...-to-be-manchester-united-captain-wayne-rooney He also said that he will have no problem if Van Gaal chooses another player to be our captain, i beg to differ, i have a feeling he'll throw another strop.
Do people actually think there's any truth in the story's that Rooney and RVP don't get on? I remember the Olympiakos game, and Rooney was the first player to run to RVP and celebrate with him after each goal. They certainly didn't look like 2 guys that didn't get on, with the way they where hugging one another. Rooney strikes me as quite an easy going guy, he forgave Ronaldo after all for the winking incident, and he and Moyes patched up there strained relationship, so he doesn't come across as the type of guy to hold grudges. I think a lot of the so called tension is just paper talk, as those 2 are the 2 star players in our side, and they play in the same position, so one kinda has to play 2nd fiddle to the other to accommodate them both. I don't think though there's actually any truth in them not getting on
He's shown he's ready to be the utd captain if called upon and that he is ok if he's not handed the armband. That gesture will impress the new manager but not someone that has never set foot in OT in his life(so far).
Maybe there's some truth into it, Remember when Cole and Sheringham didn't get along when they were with us.
Hopefully it wont be rooney. I think hes capable of doing a good job but time for him to concentrate on performing rather than leading. We need him to be on fire next season along with RvP.
