He won 3 SPL titles and a Cup and got to the last 16 of the CL with the smallest wage budget of all 32 teams in the competition bar one, playing mostly attractive and tactically sound football His European record is excellent and he's won each of the SPL titles expected of him and he's made the club a good few quid in the process.

If that's not a success then I will be happy if our next manager is a failure and achieves that too.

I think that's just a classic case of a Rangers fan not willing to recognise a Celtic manager's success.

2 Scottish cups out of 4 is fine - look at our ratio of winning SCs over history. Less than 1 in 2 and we've won it the most. People will say he had a free run at it with no Rangers but that would suggest that when Rangers were at full strength it was always one OF team that knocked out the other, when it didn't actually happen that often.

The league cup fair enough he had a terrible record but I wouldn't care if we never won that 'tournament' again.

He won 2 cups in 8 attempts and 2 of those 3 league titles were handed to him on a plate. If you were being uncharitable, you could argue that the other one was too. You're obviously easier pleased than I am.

Yes, all the trophies he won are "tainted", I catch your drift.

You think putting the club into administration, slashing the players' wages and taking away their job security had no impact on their performance? Rangers were strolling the league till that happened. <wah>

It's history repeating itself. Remember when Strachan left? He was sacred too.

Nope, Celtic were opening up a gaop by the time that happened.

And the reason for admin, the player wage cuts etc was because of the club spending more than it could afford in previous years. Lennon never had that luxury.
