Ive gone for Drogba, Henry and Shearer as most have. And also RVN and Andy Cole. RVP only really had two stand out seasons and is far too injury prone, come to think of it, exactly the same can be said of Michael Owen. Rooney hasnt lived up to his hype imo, I did toy with putting Fowler on here as he was class. I think Ian Wright could have been put on there, and maybe Cantona too.
Toyed with Ian Wright as he had four great Prem seasons but still think of him as a Div 1 player. Left out Cantona and Sheringham as they are inside forwards, Ronaldo as he started as a winger, etc
Drogba only had 2 good seasons, only twice did he score more than 12 league goals in 8 seasons. So not sure how you can have a pop at RVP, who atleast had the excuse of being injured, and playing on the wing in his younger days at Arsenal
Being injured isnt an excuse. Being injured ALL the time means he is an injury prone player, hence a s**t footballer. The 2 seasons he was fit, he was great. You keep harping on about more than 12 goals in blah blah. RVP only scored more than 12 goals 3 seasons out of 10 so.......
I did that also but instead of picking RVN i plumbed for Fowler. Not only could he lead the line better than RVN he could snort it better too!
I wouldn't disagree that RVP has only had 2 impressive seasons, though Drogba's only had 2 aswell, and he never had the injury problems RVP had, nor did he ever play as a wide man. RVP only started playing as a striker later in his career, he was a winger for most of his career with Arsenal. So if your gonna start having a go at RVP for only having 2 good seasons, then surely you should be beating Drogba with the same stick. It also makes me laugh having a vote like this on the Chelsea board, as it's bound to be bias, though Drogba's still only tying with 3 others, he should be miles clear if he was so great
Everyone's welcome to their own opinion but I doubt you would see Drogba voted the best Premier League striker on any board other than Chelsea's. He was a disaster at first and highly laughed about. He did turn things around- and eventually became a major force in the premier league- but can't see him in the same league as Henry, Van HorseyRoy, or Shearer.

I only voted for 4 - Drogba, Henry, Shearer and Van Nistelrooy 3 of them had excellent goal ratios in the Prem, Drogba did not score too many in most seasons but was one of the best big game strikers the Prem has ever had, just look at the amount of big games he scored in.
1. RVN 2. Shearer 3. Henry 4. RVP 5. Suarez (begrudgingly) 6. Sheringham 7. Yorke 8. Cole 9. Drogba 10. Owen I wouldn't include Rooney because he's not really played as a proper striker apart from 1 season. He's mainly played as a 2nd striker so don't think he should be included in the debate
Because he played til he was 41 in relegation struggling sides. In his prime though he was a class act
His record at United was 31 goals in 104 games (League). Thats not even a goal every 3 games! You are failing KS
When has Sheringham played as a proper striker? He was second striker alongside Cas at Millwall, then Durie, Klinsmann, Chris Armstrong, then Cole, Yorke, Solksjaer etc
Shearer Henry Fowler RVN Bergkamp Wright Drogba Suarez doesn't get my vote. He's had one stellar season while the others mentioned all played well consistently for a number of years.
He was sub for most of his time with us, and used as an impact substitute, it's harder to score when your only getting 20 mins here and there
