Following on from a comment I made on another thread - does anybody here use twitter or is this your only social network? I don't use twitter or facebook, don't like the idea of posting personal pictures but I do have a look on both of them, it's great for looking people up.
Twitter and BookFace are 2 mediums that I find extremely tedious. The former is just 140 character brain farts of largely total dullards and attention seekers. The latter is some from of 'life showroom' as far as I'm concerned. Here's a peek into my amazing life, isn't it great - well no, actually it looks a bit ****, but thanks anyway. Also, bookface addicts spend the entire present, thinking about how others (largely randoms) will perceive it in the future......so they have most of their life 'experiences' through a camera screen. I find that utterly bemusing.
Twitter can be useful for following the footy on matchdays if your not able to watch it on the tv, by far the fastest score updates. Other than that I agree they are a bit crap and I don't use either. There are a few on here who use Twitter though.
I use both. Twitter is a rarity but I go on Facebook regularly. This site is nothing like either and was never intended to be like either of them.
Except for keeping people up to date with what you had for breakfast, where you're going on holiday, latest love conquests ...... isn't that what people go on twitter for?
As I said, I rarely use twitter, not been on it four about a fortnight and even then it would have been a notification that got my attention I regularly put my food updates on Facebook though
