Ha ha, you would seeth you even more when a punter like me quotes the manual<laugh>.

Know a lot of bouncers, they have all my respect but there's a high % of bouncers who shouldn't be in the job, and need telling when they're crossing the line. The licences are great for separating the men from the boys and keep the bullies in check with their practices. But bouncers know their camera blind spots and a lot of them will still have you given the chance. <laugh>

Bouncers should be the meeter, the greeter, the bad arse peace keeper. :p

I agree with most of that mate.

I would say that we self-regulated the new lads and would refuse to work with them if they were 'lash out' merchants.

And, to be fair, I worked with between 16-20 lads a night over a decade and 95% were really decent people.

My motto was 'to enable the most people possible to have a great night'.

If that meant taking out the worky-tickets then that was what happened.

Oh deffo mate, I know quite a few and done refreshers with dozens of door man. Everyone I've met on the courses have been sound as pound, complete gentlemen which every respectable establishment wants. I loved throwing bouncers and coppers around on those courses, makes you feel good even though you know you can only do it because you know the weak spots in the human anatomy. :p

Drunken know all's must be really testing though. I've seen the little ****s arguing, not listening and invading your personal space(my biggest no no)

You just remember that comment next season when Pardew has you playing route one direct ****e in a side heavy abomination while we play proper football in a modern stadium whilst training in far superior facilities. <ok><laugh>

And ours isn't owned by the council <laugh>

The Mags pretend to love SJP because they have no choice ........ in reality it's a ****ing big ugly mess and they know it.
They like to call it history but it leaves them stuck in the past.
(The 'I'd love it Keegan era' was the last 'glory time' and that's faded now he's become damaged goods. He should never have come back tbh. Besides, despite leading the title race that season it's become known as one of the greatest fails in modern history.)

It's also part of the reason why Newcastle will never be one of the top clubs.

The ground is owned by the council and the stadium would cost more to knock down than it's worth, in other words they're stuck there.

There'll never be anyone prepared to pump in the money necessary to make Newcastle a top side .......
....... they've been left behind and will never catch up.

Unlike West Ham they would make a huge loss if they left the site and construction of a new ground would be beyond them.

All they can do is continue to patch up SJP and pretend it's something it's not.

Sunderland stadium doesn't hold 49,000 for a start & how many of the unsold tickets were away tickets like?

Come on guys, man up. At least find the honesty in yourself to admit the SOL is fugly. SJP isn't beautiful but at least it's not offensive.

We'll see how we play next season. So far we've usually sorted out the mess over the summer. I think we'll be a.ok.

    Errrr, yeah ...........

BTW, do you realise it's nearly 2 years since you last signed a player?

If you 'usually sort out the mess over the summer' how are you back in it by the end of the season?

Why aren't you rejoycing being top of some sort of table anyway? When you were top of the "form table" you couldn't stress it enough, here you are, official top dogs... yet you're trying to play it down.

If other fans clubs don't want to drive up to Sunderland to see the match it doesn't reflect well on your club or township either.

Do you realise you signed players galore, employed world class managers and still ended up 4 places behind the comedians that run my club?

Bri mentioned it a few times, in response to other posts, but no one else made a bit deal of it.

It's a Sunderland forum about Sunderland so I expect Sunderland's current form to be current news.

    Wouldn't you?

Please... it was on our board. Some dude boasting about the form table after Christmas (was it?). Why else do you think it's become a running gag (and it has).

Like I said, I'm the first to admit my club is run by clowns who haven't a clue, but they've shown a knack of signing up people who hit the ground running before they turn bad.

All I ask you lot to admit the SOL looks ugly from the outside and when it's empty. It doesn't actually matter how it looks because all that matter is what happens on the pitch but I for one appreciate a base-line amount of honesty to continue productive dialogue. Bricks and glaring white... design-wise...no bueno.

Sure as **** we are 2nd from bottom and only because cardiff were that bad. Still finished in 10th. Shows how bad 11-20th were this season.
