What do you do when there is no footy to watch? What other sport if any do you follow? I play golf pretty much 3 or 4 times a week during the summer, gets me out of doing the garden and cr*p like that.
I usually have a week thinking I'm glad the constant travel & expense is over then the rest of the time waiting for the fixtures to come out We now spend a lot of time travelling around the UK, walking and seeing this fantastic country. Devon & Dorset last week and a trip around Northumberland coming up .......... I never realise cross country walking was so great.
Me n the missus is off to Bere Regis (Dorset) this weekend golfing, looking forward to it so long as the weather is ok. If the weather is pants, then we play in the rain or whatever it hoys at us. Coming up home for a week in June (Hebburn) to see me ma and got a couple of days away up Kelso area, so be out seeing the sights around there. Just love being away from the sh*thole some call work.
We'd never been to Dorset until this year, it's incredible. We stayed in a lovely fishing village, called Beer, and walked to the top of Golden Cap with a picnic. Fair enough, we were blessed with the weather, but it was one of the best days I've ever spent in my life.
A bit similar to you Crumble, alot of golf but last 4 months has been a whitewash due to illness, so instead i have had to watch a **** load of football. Love my golf, our lass cant stand it (some good news). I'm living in Farnborough Hants - what about you?
The Golden Cap, I think that's on the Jurassic Coastline, tiny little bay with a pub at the bottom near the car park, if so went there last year hunting fossils with my granddaughter, made me feel like a kid again lol. Hi Farnboro, I live in Cove mate, just off Fernhill road. Play most of my golf at Southwood.
Aussie rules football for me. Ends in September, so I have Sunderland to cheer on for most of the year, and the Sydney Swans for the close season. Great game AFL, you all should give it a watch! Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk
Alan had two of the best tickets for the A.F.L. Grand Final. As he sitsdown, another man comes along and asks if anyone is sitting in the seat next to him.. "No", he says, "the seat is empty." "This is incredible!" said the man, "who in their right mind would have a seat like this for the A.F.L. Grand Final, the biggest sporting event of the Aussie football world and not use it?" He says, "Well, actually, the seat belongs to me. My wife Wendy was supposed to come with me, but she passed away. This is the first Grand Final we haven't been to together since we got married." "Oh... I'm sorry to hear that. That's terrible. I guess you couldn't find someone else, a friend or relative or even a neighbour to take the seat?" The man shakes his head... ......"No. They're all at the funeral."
Spot on, great part of the world ....... mind you, I'd never been to the Lake District until last year
I like american sports so get my fix, its the nba play offs so the best time of the year in basketball. Nfl is just around the corner and I dip in and out of the baseball on espn. Im also a big boxing fan and its in full swing with great match ups every weekend atm. Froch Groves 2 9 days away
Hairy, is that the game that was invented by the Irish, then simplified so that the Aussies could play it? Only joking, I've been a Dockers fan since they first started, can't remember the year, late 80s or early 90s I think.
Hoping for a wardrobe malfunction mate? There was a massive gorilla looking mother ****er back in the day, she's into porno now. Scruffy cow, she looked like Arnie. As for the OP, my Mrs puts up with loads of United **** through the year, conveniently it's summer and her favourite pastime is shopping and holidays. I still get to do all my stuff, the training, the sports, watch **** on Discovery etc, but she dictates our weekends cos I've not got United to get me out of her awful plans.
Hahaha that was her, jesus, she's a tank. You would though. Not 'you' as in 'everyone would', I mean specifically, you, Comm. Comm would.

Down here its a religion. Comm's joke is pretty much spot on, funeral or not, you dont miss a grand final if you've got tix! Dockers came about in 94 i think? What made you a Dockers man? Live down here for a bit? I'm a Sydney fan, used to live there for years, plus Adam Goodes is a machine. We look good this year after a shaky start.
But, but, maybe like, if i was brave enough. However. a bit dirtier pic of her. [NSFW] please log in to view this image [/NSFW]
