Yup, history of injuries. 1 normal season out of 9... for £80k a week I'd hope to have a player available for most of the season rather than 50% of it.
Arsenal should get rid of the better part of their squad if they were as eager as some of us are to rid of talent on the basis of injury record. Sakho has a spotty injury record too, which could lengthen further with the transition to a physically demanding league. He has a conditioning issue in my eyes as well. Ridding of Agger purely on historical basis is premature and doesn't speak well of our support.
Ridding Sakho on a hunch and guess work is a bit different to ridding Agger on the basis of 9 years of proof
See though... i wouldn't get rid of Sakho , and the fella doesn't come close to Agger's stature in terms of respect deserved.
Btw, how stupid is it to refer to % games played as a direct indication of his injury record when he was competing with guys like Carra and Hyppia?
No more stupid than claiming because of 1 season out of 9 he's played more than 30 games, that he's not injury prone and now getting into his 30's he'll be as fit as ever
Support and respect makes one's glass half-full . Respect for both his skill, loyalty and tenure at the club. He is NOT deserving of being shot down like a lame mare.
So looking at his record and having an opinion on what the club should do with means he doesn't have support does it? ****ing hell, I supported Woy, Konchesky and even Kvarme whilst they were here, doesn't mean I rated or wanted them!!!
Another interesting bit about this is that agger was part of the last bit of decent spell with LFC and the most horrendous bit too. Still think we could do with a fresh approach, not sure who but do think we need that depth, quality of depth, in the back. Livtor you love to just get peoples backs up mate, you really do. You shoot down anything that contradicts or has a differing opinion than your own. Thought you would be smarter than a " blah, blah, history" comment as well.
