Assombalonga would be a great addition, provided he wouldn't be overpriced. If he is, perhaps we could take a look at Ulloa at Brighton, but I suspect we aren't in for a striker.
I am 50/50 on Welbeck....Yes. 50/50 on IF he stays @ Man Utd or is allowed to leave. I never said anything about wanting him or even us having a chance of getting him. I would expect Liverpool or maybe Man City going after Welbeck. Hope that clears up your confused mind.
Expect Ulloa to go to Slumberland and link up with Poyet again. The Mackems/Poyet could well have a group of strikers like Wickham - Fletcher - Altidore - Ulloa and Campbell to select from come august. Assomballonga looks better than Gayle already so £3m plus add ons would not be a bad deal for both clubs.
I was just about to say Spurs. Ideal club for him, or Liverpool but he wouldn't get the play time Sturridge did.
Peterborough have a habit of getting top dollar for there players double that 3 million and you might be closer
Boyd was out of contract so went cheaply 8 million for gayle is good money , your mad if you think they will sell assombalonga for 3 million
Boyd cost more than that, there was a promotion clause n the deal, I think he ended up costing over a million.
Seems doubtful. why would we want him when we have long and jelly and have other positions that need to be filled first?
The mirror seems to think we might be in for lescott. I guess he is willing to take half his current wages down to 45 a week. Can't see us paying a defender that much.
In for Lescott apparently. Would be very keen. Would come 'cheap' at 45k p/w on a free, which is certainly manageable. Would add some great European experience to the squad.
Depends on what the add ons were. Assombalonga and his agent will be pushing for a move have no worries on that. Agreed. Lescott can also play left back. A back 4 of Lescott - Davies - Chester and Rosenior looks good to me. Saw a tweet last night that said that Jake Livermore's move to Hull City was not far away.
I cant see us playing Lescott as a left back, I would assume he will come in to partner Davies, or make up a back 3 with Chester and Davies. We should be looking at an established left back to support Brady (assuming he comes back all guns blazing). It's a shame Dudge has been out for so long. Maybe the time away will bring back the best of Figgy?
I said he can play left back if needed and that is an extra option....but agree left side of a back 3 is better. My hope is that Joe Dudgeon can get and stay fit and give Figs something to worry about. Dudgeon has what it takes to play left back. Just needs to stay fit.
Saw this article. http://news.ladbrokes.com/en-gb/foo...tch-hulls-boss-embrace-ghana-raid_197590.html Which of the 3 would you take? Wouldnt mind taking Campbell
