Rumours that Chris David may be off, this would be a disgrace! As far as I'm concerned he should be in the first team next year and if we sell him it will cost us £3 million to replace him show we should be accepting no less than £4 million

It does look as though Felix is trying to rid us of all Jols acquisitions if rumors are to be believed.
Something I agree with wholeheartedly, apart from this one,and as Cookie said
a replacement for David would cost at least 3/4mil

Yeah I read about that. Apparently he (or more likely his Agent) has been talking to the Dutch paper Voetbal International and intimated that discussions have taken place between Fulham and FC Twente over his possible transfer.

David is obviously unhappy about sitting on the bench or playing in the U21s and while he doesn’t say he wants to leave Fulham, the paper quotes him as saying:

"The important thing is that I'm going to play a lot of minutes next season. If that's going to happen at Fulham good, but otherwise, I will look further. There is contact between the clubs, but I'll wait to hear from my agent or intermediary as to what comes out. I'll keep all options open. Twente is a beautiful club and I know the trainers very well and I have a lot of friends and family members in the region."

I’ve had a few misgivings when I’ve seen David play in the U21s but I’m equally convinced he’d be storming in the Championship and exactly what we need for a strong challenge. Very, very short sighted if we let him go

The more I think about this the angrier I get!!! This is a highly rated youngster who at the age of 21 is at the stage to ready for first team football many fans expect him to be a major player next season and the club have to sort this quickly! Let's talk to him and tell him he will get plenty of chances next season! If he leaves it will be a travesty I really hope this is his agent trying to force Fulham into making him a first team regular, if it is we should give in to it straight away

Well if he's going to play he could well be staying. He said he'd be happy to stay if he gets first team football which he should/will. Felix playing him against palace suggests he rates him so hopefully this transfer doesn't go through.

I made the following point in the thread First Team Squad for next Season??? on April 9th

Seems there are a few players that have gone missing of every ones radar for next season, what's happened to

    Boumesca
    Tunnicliffe
    David
    Minkwitz
    Williams

It doesn't suprise me that David has been touted by his agent to clubs abroad before the season ended as he hadn't been mentioned or even on the bench before the Palace game.
I'm not sure if he is now in Magath's plans, he and the others on that list didn't seem to get a notice in many posters squad for next season.

It's true David could save the club having to look for another player but was it only his Palace performance that got him noticed, as a lot of people were saying he was one of Jols failures before hand.

Calm down Cookie, old son. There's been nothing from the club to suggest that they are going to let him go. I agree that selling him would be a mistake and if that happens, I'd understand your anger. Until that happens, this is just speculation - let's wait until there's actually something to be angry about. Reading the quotes, I agree with FulhamIreland. What the player wants is first team action, and there's every reason to suggest that he'll get that with us. If he is in Felix's plans, there's no reason to think he'll go and if he's not in Felix's plans (rightly or wrongly) there's not a lot of point keeping him if someone is offering a decent fee. I suspect he won't go, and I'm saving my outrage until events prove otherwise.

Someone posted elsewhere a few days ago to the effect that Tunnicliffe has been told that he'll be given a chance to prove himself next season, which I think is good news. Ryan Williams signed a new contract since the season ended - the news came out around the same time as Tankovic's imminent departure was confirmed. As for Mesca and Minkwitz, I'm as in the dark as you.

Minkwitz has been released, or is set to be released. Lasse Vigen Christensen posted a goodbye message to both Minkwitz and Oberschidt on Instagram which suggests that both are on the way out. Not sure about Mesca, he's contracted until 2016. If Jol stayed we probably would have seen more of him, as he was the only manager that seemed to rate him. Hopefully we see a bit more of him soon.

Is this just him bigging himself up? I think so. He's been told by his agent/representative to say it.

His agent probably. Don't quite get the point though. His contract is till June 2017 and we're not going to negotiate a new one given the drop in division. And unless he has said he wants away why would the Club want to sell? He cost (I think) £2m and even with 3 years left in his contract we'd be lucky to get our money back.

Unless there was a third party interested and the agent has tried to give them a bit of a push by suggesting that other another team (Twente) is seriously interested. Agents are sneaky creatures at the best of times.

Bit of an aside, but if memory serves there was a suggestion last summer that we should never, ever again deal with FC Twente. I think it was over the shannigans by their Chairman, Joop Musterman, and the possible transfer of Douglas. And that wasn't the first time we'd been mucked about by him. Musterman ranks with Daniel Levy when it comes to upping the anti.

It looks like he plans on staying. He's posted a picture of himself celebrating his goal against Palace on Instagram saying "I want to thank all the fans for their incredible support. It was a disappointed year for us, but hopefully we wil make everything good next season #always #believe #togetherness #coyw #fulham #ffc #london #premier #league #championsship #love #the #game"
