You're missing the point Charlie. It's not a question of proving it. It will eventually be made to work by the fans. My point is that there are far better ways that this can be done. Oh, and time won't tell. I can already say based on a 10 year study, the north stand, especially the north west, is very difficult to hear from E3. The north east bits are a bit better, but from experience, people in the south and west will hear them more.
Given the thread, I think it's pretty obvious isn't it? North. The two issues are separate. I think the price increase is a stupid, ill-considered and lazy idea. The move to the North stand I don't agree with, but they're obviously doing it with the best intentions and I don't think Allam will have had a key say on it. No conspiracy. I disagree with it because I think it's borne of the myth that we've got a quiet ground, and by changing things around we risk creating one.
I am not missing the point. But will agree to disagree. I have taken on board your empirical evidence and it has been duly noted.
I'm not renewing my season pass. I'm currently in E1. I don't appreciate being moved with zero consultation, to where I'll have an inferior view of the action, all while paying £120 extra for the privilege, Unless there's a U turn, I'll stick to the CAT C games and any others I'll be able to afford
I have renewed. All away teams that can sell 2,500 tickets will get blocks N5 to E3. So Manchester City, Manchester United, Everton, Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal, Sunderland, Newcastle United, Leicester City, QPR/Derby County, West Ham, Aston Villa and West Brom are likely to have almost half the North Stand as well as most of E1, E2 and E3. For those that want to avoid me I'm in N3.
Off to renew my season card and the 2 junior tigers season cards Will I be able to move to N5 ? If not I'll go for N4 high up
Reggae boy . The view of the south stand goal is not that good lower down in e1 Always thought the view was fine in bunkers behind the goal The view behind the goal was good at Wembley. I don't get this worse view from behind the goal stuff
We're in the Premier League now. About 80% of teams will take the full allocation, which makes the scenario of being able to cram the away support into just E1 - E3 a bit redundant. Fact is almost half the North stand will be away support/segregation, aswell as E1 - E3.
I know, you just couldn't make it up. General Custer divided his forces and look what happened to him. It looks like the days of having the East Stand rocking are over.
This is my big fear. Best things about the KC atmosphere are E1-E3 making a racket and the fact they're close to the away fans which promotes back-and-forth chants (I refuse to write 'banter'). We're throwing both things away just to try and copy off other clubs who have **** atmosphere.
Home Fans = N1, N2, N3, N4 = Four full blocks. Away Fans = Half of N5, N6, E1, E2 half of E3. = Three full blocks, plus 2 half blocks. There will be a need for segregation at each end of their blocks now.
