That's actual insanity, 1000bhp in a Lancia! I drove some ****ing nice **** in Marbella when I worked in luxury car hire, and I tell you some of them aren't all that, at all. Pure driving experience was Porsche every time, but I'd not buy one personally, couldn't justify it.
You ever been to watch the thousand lakes Nordic? I'm off up there next year with my brother hopefully, can't wait, it looks mental! Edit: I hear for this year they've taken out one of the best stages, is it Ohninpoja or something? Wasn't confirmed last time I looked.
Have a look at this mate, video from Rally Legends in San Marino the driver takes a fan out in a 1000bhp S4 just through the streets as you do... I don't get excited as much for the luxury prestige or supercars, I'd have one or two if I was loaded but like you say, they're all show a lot of them, straight line stuff.
Am I the only honest mug to say I have a 1.0 ecoboost fiesta lol. I bought it coz I am training to be a driving instructor. For a 1.0 litre it goes pretty well, Previous to that I had a 2.0 focus for 12 years. Would love a BM, Merc or Audi but unfortunately my budget don't stretch that far.
Get in a sense of reality. Good lick to you mate... All these German cars, i'd squash in me truck......................if i could catch the fookers.
Hired one of them when I was away, probably the best engine manufactured in a long time. Absolute pleasure to drive. The 1.6 Ecoboost is supposedly brilliant as well. Ford are hitting all the right notes in the last few years, their WRC styling is amazing almost as good as the VW Polo WRC, some would say better.
Had an X-type 2.5 sport 4wd in 2003, thought there was a ****ing hole in the petrol tank. Some of the new ones look nice, couldn't tell you what they're called mind. I'd prefer an E-type!
I've been to see the Finnish rally twice. I have no idea which stages I was stood watching, as I can can barely pronounce the name of the street that I live in. But it's all around central Finland and Jyvaskala. Saw Gronholm thrash it out with Loeb and a few quality crashes to boot. It's a good weekend up there in the summer. University town, gets packed and people get pissed up....naturally. Giz a shout if you make it over. I have to say, the Suzi was the original rally car for me, until I came across the Delta. 1000bhp is fookin mental, by the way. No wonder the bloke is laughing his tits off in the car
The Group B stuff fascinates me, the Delta S4 pretty much put an end to that when it killed Henri Toivonen. There's still a lot of hill climb stuff, the Pikes Peak Quattro, the RS200's and the T16's, different level cars but the S4's are getting more and more rare now, probably ending up in garages to live out their days being polished. Do love the sound of an Evo 6 tearing through a forest though!
Always had vw 4golfs and 6 passats now family pressure I've bought some thing sensible ,,,! Ford focus zetec it's fine
There's only one reason why you've got a pickup Comm and that's because you have an unhealthy obsession with the local post-ops, so much so that you bought a truck so you didn't have to do 3 trips to the go-go bars to pick up your weekend quota of them!
18 man, 18 is the most i've had on the back of me truck.... Water festival, wet tee shirts, you get the idea
