I'll reserve judgement on the (possibly) new manager unless it's one I'm really familiar with. I'm happy to admit that I had no clue about poch before he came in.

Same here...never heard of him, but trusted Nicola enough to suspend judgement. Love Mauricio's style, but will still support another manager. Haven't given up hope that MP will stay, but will roll with the punch if he does.

He has apparently said this evening that he will never consider joining a team where the fans refer to him as "Poncho." He has stated that "Mopo" although a little effeminate is acceptable from a minority, but the thought of being named after some dodgy garment is outrageous and Spuds can stick the job up their cockerel's arse.

    Just what I heard, that's all. :D

Well MP is a good fit, and thus Laudrup must be a good fit for you ... take the short cut and leave the middle man where he is :)

Levy is playing a game. Ancelotti still may be available after this weekend. Now that is a profile of manager their fans would want.

The club won't and can't let him sit out the final year. Stay and sign, or go.

Why? Could have another good season and convince him to stay during that year. He is hardly going to undermine the club.

Personally, I wouldn't really be comfortable having a manager run into the last year of his contract, with all the alleged talk at the moment. I would want him to commit by the end of this July.

Me too if you mean sign this summer. I do think Spuds will get someone a little higher up the ladder now.

I think Spurs will go for someone else, but MP may be tempted by a sunnier country...though he has said he wants to stay in the EPL.

He would be in for a shock after managing three (of the four richest clubs in the world) in Chelsea, PSG & Madrid and then settling to manage a club which has one of the leagues lowest net spends. Thats why Levy wants Poncho (sorry Mopo) ..or someone of a similar nature, as he will be happy to work within our limitations.

Given a choice Boss, who would you go for as your next manager, realistically.

I've been ridiculed and been accused of taking a leave of my senses but Tony Pulis :D

But in all honestly I want someone with experience and someone who could stand up to Levy and take some control, which could have been Van Gaal yet he wasn't interested. So looking at who is available and who is realistic. if i'm being honest, I really am stumped, as all the names being branded about don't really excite me. They are just "names" and after Redknapp was sacked, I believe we have decided to go down an unrealistic route, as no manager under Levy will do better then 4th and the champions league, which Redknapp achieved.

Just posted on the Dodd Willo sacking thread, but could their dismissal be opening the door for the de Boer brothers?
Frank in place of MP and Ronald as youth team coach?

Would do for me and Frank would have the kudos that might stop an exodus of players, should MP leave.

Just looking at the latest odds on tottenhams next manager and manchini's odds have dropped massively currently 12/1 from 66/1. MPs odds are now 8/11 they were 1/3 this morning.
