Saw this on Hull's Vital Football website Hull City have announced their 2014/15 pre-season schedule this afternoon with four friendlies on the agenda. Hull City will start their pre-season preparations on Monday 21 July against North Ferriby United for the annual Billy Bly Trophy before facing York City (Wednesday 23 July) and Barnsley (Saturday 26 July.) City will also send a development side to face Goole Town on Saturday 19 July and Harrogate Town on Monday 21 July. Steve Bruce`s side will then turn their attentions to the third qualifying round of the Europa League which will see City competing in their first European game on Thursday 31 July. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Obviously those guys at vital, cant count as there's five friendlies there, not four
Hardly any 'testing' games there for a pre-season but it's probably the right move with next season starting so early. Win some games and build some confidence after the way we finished this season before starting again with renewed confidence.
Interesting, we aren't playing Winterton this year, I wonder why that's happened? Perhaps because Harrogate are a better standard of team?
Winterton Rangers vs. Hull City U21. Tuesday 15 July 2014 Source: http://www.pitchero.com/clubs/wintertonrangers/calendar/event/pre-season-friendly-v-hull-city-169118 Hull U21 visit West Street in Pre-season friendly. This will be a 7.30pm kick off. This is our 2nd friendly of the season as we entertain Premiership and UEFA Europa League entrants Hull City to West Street when they bring their U21 team to play our 1st team. This is a massive game as we continue to build a very exciting pre-season. We have decided to make the games very tough to try and step up the lads so when the season starts we will be flying. Their is no ifs or buts as we know we need to gain promotion back into the NCEL Premier League.
Do they bring the "Pie Van," that plays 80s/90s anthems from it? Seen it a few times in St Andrews Quay, think it's slightly hilarious.
Is Ferriby and Harrogate on the same night, may have to take the girlfriend to a game in Harrogate as she will be living there. Shame, as I normally do Ferriby
Not as far as i know. Harrogate is the development squad game and Ferriby the usual first game. Shame that both are on the same night.
