Even if they have rejected the '£27m' bid that doesn't mean that it will increase. We don't know how the £27m is broken down. It may be £20m with add ons so we said 'No'. It may be £10m up front with the remainder paid over 4 years.....so we said 'No'. So we could simply have rejected the terms of the deal and not the actual total amount (if there has been a bid and if we have in fact rejected a bid if there was a bid.........) It may be that Man Utd come back with the same £27m bid with more up front and less in add ons and we then say yes!!!

I suspect Van Gaal with all his years of experience and selecting winning teams, would want to sign someone who can kick a ball and run, not someone who is just walking and won't be playing until close to Christmas. Unless of course, Levy is doing his Christmas shopping early. It would be unlike Spuds to spend millions in a talented attacking footballer and then not play them. .... When I have swearing filter on I get 3 dots instead of pictures. When I have swearing filter off I get blank space, not even the dots so I get some posts that are blank space and others that tease me with a reference to something I can't see. Links seem to be working now though.

It's great, isn't it? If a someone in sales reported that they have almost clinched a big sale which didn't materialise, then their manager might ask why they sounded so sure. If a mechanic said that he was 95% certain your car would be fixed in time for the weekend, then you would put out to find that it wasn't. But a journalist can report any transfer as almost complete but if it doesn't happen then the editor won't be at all concerned as long as a few extra copies have been flogged. The incentives are perverse and I think we should stop posting these links.
