It's stupid comparing prices across clubs as well given that the average wage in Hull is one of the lowest in the country. Compare prices as a percentage of average income and I reckon City will now be high up on the list. As others have said if we need that extra money we should have pushed harder to get points towards the end of the season, one point more and we would have earned millions more than such a huge proportionate rise for fans.
There is now way they are getting that £60M+ back. Not a bloody chance as no one will pay it and we can't keep increasing the debt as we are.
"2014/15 Season Tickets start from £365 for an Adult renewal, or £395 for a new Adult purchase." http://www.lcfc.com/cms_images/seasonticketsbrochure-online280-1541269.pdf Most of their season tickets are cheaper than ours, only the best regular seats go up to £730 and even then only for people who weren't already existing season ticket holders. Their executive Club memberships are cheaper than ours too.
Perhaps you could present to the forum some evidence of the loss of earnings, as Asam Allams puppet ( sorry I meant his son ) said there was no sponser linked to the name change, and it looked to me that his figures of 2 or 3 million per season was pure guess work.
Top and bottom of it is that SOMEONE has to pay for premier league footballers. So if we don't help out then the owners have too. You can all spin it however you want but moaning like frig because you are asked to pay the going rate for the product and then some going off claiming 'it's an agenda' is truly pathetic. Moving E-1,2,3 is clearly a dig at CTWD however.
Read what i put properly....."i don't mind too much.....etc etc" what i was moaning about was the fact that there was nothing in the letter highlighting nor explaining the reason for the increase. Plus for your information all these clubs charged less than City for their cheapest passes (admittedly last seasons prices): Manchester City £325 Aston Villa £349 West Bromwich £378 Newcastle £379 Cardiff City £395 Stoke £400 Sunderland £449 Swansea £449 Fulham £469 Everton £490
You're still talking ****. It isn't the going rate. And that isn't the point anyway. It's about the club losing fans, which we really can't afford. And sorry for not having sympathy for Allam having to pay the club's bills. Isn't that the point of an owner? He tells us to **** off all season, now we're supposed to be delighted at him asking for more money.
Presumably box and Premier Club prices have gone up by 30% too? Maybe even more given we were told we were at full capacity for last season.
You seem to be rather missing the point, the issue here is not just what is a reasonable amount to pay to watch Premier League football, it's how much of an increase can made to ticket prices at City before the sales fall so far that it actually generates less revenue, whilst leaving us with a load of empty seats. We're obviously about to find out and it makes naff all difference to me personally, as I'm a corporate member so pay twice as much already, but I still don't want to see two or three thousand empty seats at games next season. That's bollocks, Pearson tried to do this, Duffen tried to do this and Thompson finally got on the Safety Advisory Group and made it happen, it's been on the cards for a decade.
Premier Club prices have gone up by just under 10%, but eighteen months ago we got hit with a 50% increase. I remember I got **** all sympathy on here at the time either.
I completely agree with you and have said it myself loads of times . You have to take account of the local economy . A small amount of money for the club will be a big amount for some fans to find .
Even so, seems like a bit of an imbalance in the price rises this time? If they'd risen 15% this summer and next to leave the same prices going into the third season (provided we're Premier League obviously) then people would be much more understandable than just whacking an extra 30% in one go.
There is an imbalance, the normal passes have gone up 30% in the past eighteen months and the corporate ones have gone up 60%. Who does he think he is, Robin Hood?
It's not really shrapnel though is it when people have got families to support! If I had only myself to consider then the price increase wouldn't be an issue, but I have got a mortgage to pay and 4 kids to support - lucky for me they all support Forest so I'm not having to consider 4 additional passes. But there are people who post on here, as well as all around the KC who have 1 or 2 adult passes and a couple of kids passes - they've got hit the most in terms of the outlay. He's pricing people out of going to watch City whether he likes to admit it or not. It's a bit blaze (sp) to come on here saying 'I don't care how much it costs and I'm doing this and I'm doing that' - there are plenty of people who are not in the same position as you.
