Reckon he will get two centre mids, a cb and a left back. Keep evra and promote youngsters like wilson, keane and lindgard. Couple of players to come back as well.

People forget the players we have had out on loan (Lingard being one) Powell has done very well in the games he has played and Will Keane has not let himself down either, all three are ready for a first team test.

A lot of talk of Leicester trying to get Powell, I think he's a great player and it would be a shame if you didn't give him a chance.

but...... thsi is UTD we are talking about, not a kindergarden. utd need one of the top ten cbs in europe to compete for CL.... they don't need young lads, now theres nothing wrong and in fact its desirable to bring a few through gradually but we are talking 4th minimum and then CL tilt too boot the year after.

UTd have standards, i keep hammering on about LFC needing to have said standards. IF UTd think jones and evans are "good enough" they are mistaken

MITO. The true decision makers concerning United are resident in the USA. They view United as an investment. They have made it clear that they are not really interested in what those running the organisation feel about standards. Just as long as the money keeps coming in that is sufficient for them. In the short term at least that cash stream can be mostly guaranteed with almost minimum spend.

The days of Gill and Ferguson have gone. In exactly the same way that they did when Paisley retired and then Moores took over. Those old days for both clubs have passed - it's just that United haven't fully realised it yet. The difference is that our owners have bought into the culture of the club and brought/forced a strong managerial culture whereas United's owners have little/no relationship with the club and have yet to prove that their local management is up to the task.

So don't build your argument on the basis that United have standards. The BEST that they can say right now is that they used to have standards but the indentifiers and protectors of those standards no longer have the authority to enforce them.

utd face a huge uphill struggle to get back into the top 4 as we will all be strengthening in the summer but at least Van Gaal has a clue about running a top side and managing egos unlike his predecessor. He should also be able to attract big names but it will be interesting to see who wants to join with no CL football on offer.

    His agent says.

Just another slimey agent trying to engineer another payday on the most ludicrous of pretexts.

He was on about lack of respect a while ago because he's from Africa. He's not a bit like his brother is he?

  16. Just looked and realise I mis-read it. Still, Toure is a mardy **** so I wouldn't put it past him. They probably didn't get him a present because he's African :bandit:

It's just his agent being a total tit.

City have even released the video footage of them singing to him and giving him a cake ffs <laugh>

It's the official start of the ****er agent season and this summer will be even worse due to the WC <doh>
