Looks like there's a price hike coming later this week...

    My mistake.

We always have time that's what having a balanced business plan means. If we don't develop the stadium now when will we develop it? Is he saving his pennies to move us to Melton? Are we going to collect cash or invest in players? Does he have any idea where he wants the club to be in 5 years time and has a plan to get us there? How many people bought season tickets to see Liverpool and Manchester United? How many now realise they don't have to as tickets where available? How many borrowed money to see our first FA Cup final and cannot afford another £500 or £1500 on top? How many have now lost their jobs or had their pay cut?

How many couldn't care less about seeing Manchester City or Chelsea and would rather see us win? Will they buy a season pass or just 10 tickets during the season?

Maybe he's thought all this through and does have a business plan. No point in investing in the stadium (either the KC or Melton) if he thinks relegation in the next season or two is a possibility.

If he has a long term business plan for the club, then going on what's occurred so far, I'm not looking at the future with much glee. On-pitch success papers over the cracks.

His approach in his other business appears to have been successful, but at the expense of other businesses and their employees. He seems to think he can use this approach with Hull City. He can't, and no one is prepared to tell him this.

The problem isn't an increase in prices, that happens everywhere, we get that. It's the fact that this price hike won't help at all. We were already going to struggle to fill the ground next season thanks to no season pass renewals until the end of May and a marketing team that are happy to stand still, this is going to make it worse. Mr Hat - I've no idea what your post to me was, might have been an old quote of mine? You're missing the point though. No one's saying successful teams shouldn't cost more and prices should never go up. It's just this instance is ridiculous.

Allam constantly tells us how we don't matter, he doesn't need fans it's all about sponsors, now he wants some more cash there's no option apart from the fans pay more? **** off! He's always going on about his brilliant business acumen and his friggin CV, yet he's done **** all to sort out the ongoing problem at the club with marketing. The problem's been there longer than Allam has, but him with his fantastic insight into business has done nothing about it. He doesn't even seem to have noticed. All he can think of, with his vast experience, is that the loyal fans should pay more.

In any other industry, you raise prices when demand is high and anyone you price out will be replaced. When demand is low you need to drive demand, you make things cheap and market them properly. Why is football different? We're a big City and we've got a small-time attitude to bringing in support. We should be able to fill a 35,000 seater stadium easily. How do Sunderland do it? Maybe we should look at their CEO's CV.

I don't think you're allowed unreserved seating at Premier League games.

This is such a perfect post. Every word is spot on. If the team were losing everyone would hate him.

Or at the same time - how many new supporters have we gained over the season (and perhaps through our cup exploits?). I know at least one adult who promised his son (young teenager) a season pass if we stayed in the PL. How many people - like my son - have just got a full time job and are now able to afford a season ticket? How many youngsters will be nattering their parents (particularly after Saturday) to take them to City games more often? We all surely knew a hike in season cards was coming - we have had a season in the PL at Championship prices. Let's not lose all of the positivity generated by the team on Saturday by being overly negative about this.

Nowhere near enough. We simply don't attract new fans. We've got a few thousand PL plastics and maybe 15,000 proper full-time fans. If we get relegated the crowds will be down there again like last time. We don't bring in new fans or even try to, and those who come for a season just while we're in the PL don't turn into long-term fans.

I'm not in E1-E3 myself so it doesn't make any difference personally but I think they are been shafted paying the same price and been put behind the goal , it really isn't 'one of the best views in the ground'

If I was them I might move to the west upper nearer to Mr Allam

Of course the Allam's decided the prices, we never bothered appointing a Chief Exec and something that was going to be this unpopular was absolutely going to have to be their call. Incredibly naive to suggest otherwise.

No it's him and his son in a room with him deciding everything and his son agreeing.

You really think anyone else can get a word in edgeways? Why do you think we don't have a CEO any more?

    I'm not negative.

I got my letter this morning and if I want priority in picking my new seat I have to hand over my £1,000 plus this week. I'm sure some of our longer standing supporters would have liked a bit more time to sort out their seats and their money.

The rest of the East together with the South and North stands get until July 2014 to guarantee their seats. After Wembley a not very pleasant way of treating the people who generated most of the atmosphere during the season.

I don't think your figure is correct we paid £395 for an East Stand seat in the championship that's £17.17 for a 23 game season my pass next season £514 or £27.05 that's a £9.88 rise or in other words a lot in one go

Generated most of the atmosphere = were the most vociferous against the name change.

Sunderland has had more success and tradition than ourselves. Also there are no other clubs in town. In Hull anyone wanting to be big fish in a puddle and see a few trophies being raised could go to rugby.

People have been campaigning for this. AP wanted to do it. I think linking this to the name change is paranoia raising its head.

Most clubs will see a fall in attendance if relegated. The issue is how much (if at all) this price rise will affect our gates next season. Not much if your figures are the ones to go by as presumably both the "proper full time fans" and the "PL plastics" will be there (although some will be unhappy at the price hike) and when you add in the away allocation we will be around the same attendance levels as this season.

I have to say i am very disappointed at what has just dropped through the door.

Firstly the price has gone up a massive 30%, i don't mind that too much as our price this season was actually a little less than it was a few seasons back but there is no mention anywhere in the correspondence that there is such a big increase and what the reasoning for it is, to me it is akin to going to the supermarket and they have sneakily reduced the size of the beer bottle from 500ml to 350ml hoping you didn't notice.

The other thing is that we sit in E4 so will now be right next to the away fans with our most vocal support scattered elsewhere (mainly north stand i guess) and we prefer sitting side on rather than behind the goal and there is no way we are going into west stand with zero atmosphere so you just hear all the whingers.

Feel like i have been sh*t on just now <steam>
