Looks like there's a price hike coming later this week...

Answered above, but it's not a point that can be viewed in isolation.

I assume the club will perform mid-table then and the team more consistent like a mid-table team is.

Indeed and I completely agree with your point about consultation, but AA's not big on consultation, have you not seen his CV?

I understand the anger at the price rise, but what do you expect. The 7.5 million for Jelavic and another for long comes from where? You want premier league football you have to pay for it simple. You cant be charging people championship prices and expect to be competitive.

I suspect that will cause some issues further down the line, when fans are asked to stump up an extra 30% each, they're going to expect another £30m to be spent on players.

How long do we have to renew? In other words how long do we have to come up with the extra cash?

And just to quote our esteemed leader

    'watching football should be free'

'I'm here to save the club and manage the club for the benefit of the community'

    'gone within 24 hours'

'I have never said something and then gone back on it'

It won't be mentioned by the owners, but the increase predicted in season ticket revenue will be to compensate the loss of earnings that
was budgeted by them now that the name change is not going ahead.

Premier League football is paid for by Sky subscriptions, not money on the turnstiles, even if everyone renewed at the higher prices, it will generate far less money than finishing two places higher in the league, or having a half decent FA Cup run.

Leaving them unchanged would have covered that.

Yes, however it does bring some revenue in and if that goes up from 7% to 9% its a lot of money

Why is the North Stand more expensive than the South?

Not in the Allam's minds. :D

Didn't Ehab mention £1.5 million expected from season 1? Roughly the increase in prices......

Understandable, but three season passes for 850 is so cheap for premier league football. Its never going to be popular and its a shame it is pricing people out but all these footballers that we need to pay 25000 a week needs to come from the back pocket of hard working people through ticket sales, sky subscriptions and merchandising

Going on what I've read it looks like my pass will raise from £425(I paid DD so had a admin fee of £25. To £514 all in because they've waved the admin fee. A raise of £89 isn't ideal for me personally. But I really hate being sat behind the goal.

We've had cheap passes for ages. I dropped out a couple of years ago due to the cost of travel, living away. But in League 2 a pass gave you something like 11 free games. That is madness. I think this was eroded over time with fewer free games but how many free games did you get last season based on the average ticket price.

This problem people are finding today has its root set from a pricing model that was created years ago.

Why? Allam himself says that's a minor element. More people in with more disposable income would/should lead to more merchandise and concession sales, increasing the prices will more likely reduce the profit and the atmosphere.

So let me get this right, we're told that gate revenue is a rather insignificant 7% of turnover, yet in the minds of some a price increase is to help buy new players, progress on the pitch, etc.

The thing is, we're now going to be paying more than the likes of Villa, Sunderland and Swansea, which is fair enough, as long as we sign players like Bony and have similar expectations.
