There were a few clubs in the proper city centre we were told never to go too. On Saturday's if we were daring we'd go get a kebab an stand opposite the dodgy club an watch all fights between marines an the locals.. I finished uni in '98 by the way..

The place we always got into trouble was right at the bottom end of southsea sea front near a pier was full of knuckle dragging locals.. My mate got stabbed walking home from the place an he used to live right by fratton park.

My sons taking he's third year down there, its not too bad but it does have some rough area's. The No 233 bus goes to Fratton on match days, it doesn't come back but I think the gestures nice.

When I was at uni there I worked on a Saturday in a tiny tesco in southsea .. Pompey had millwall in a cup game when I started work at 8 all the shop keepers were boarding their windows up.. The next day was like a bomb had gone off..

There is a teacher in a Jersey school called Mrs. Dick. Guess what her daughter is called?
