Have to say that so would I. The argument has always been that we play a very young side....perhaps that isn't washing any more. Perhaps Mauricio has his own team to bring in. 2 + 2 = 1005

I think there's gunna be a overhaul of our academy and policys cos one minute les says we dont loan our youth then we suddenly change our minds

anybody know anything about "interim academy director Matt Hale"? since when have we had an interim academy director?

 

Oh well. If they were deemed not to have a good relationship with other staff, and not to be hands-on enough with the players, then it's probably a good thing. Players who came through the youth system under them might be sad to see them go, but that's life.

I'll be taking any Daily Mail interpretations with a large bucket of salt though.

 

The last paragraph made me laugh.

I would presume that there would have to be good reason to do such a thing to two popular characters at the club...Nicola would behave like this, but doesn't fit in with what the new board have said about their ethos. This will prove to be expensive and messy unless they have a cast iron reason or have been going through disciplinary procedures behind the scenes. Saints have given a reason which impinges on their professional reputation, so it's not a case of just paying off a contract. May turn out that it had to be done, but timing is crap.

 

Don't have a clue, as to the reasons, but would say the timing is spot on.
Gives their replacements the whole of the summer break and pre-season to get to know the club and academy players.
Respect to Doddsy and Willow, but better now than in August, from a club point of view.

Every time I get rid of coaches on FM I like to imagine the fans' meltdown.
