It's bad enough with our thousands of dull fans at the KC now, the price of passes will attract pensioners who in the most sit on their hands for 90 mins, I can only see a terrible atmosphere apart from the small section in the North

Hull City 2014/15 season ticket prices up by nearly 30 per cent

Hull City fans will have to pay nearly 30 per cent more for a season ticket in the 2014-15 campaign, it can be revealed. The Tigers are also moving away fans from the KC's north stand in a bid to create a more hostile environment for visiting sides.

For next season, the price of adult season passes will now range between £501 and £572, compared to £395 and £450 in the campaign just gone. Match day tickets will also see a rise, with the most expensive now being priced at £50.

Letters have now been sent to fans informing them about the move and the season ticket prices.

The club are keen to point out that despite the increase, season tickets will remain at a similar level to other Premier League clubs. The club are also reducing the price of some match day tickets to £16.

However, they still expect to come in for criticism for both decisions which come after a successful season amid continued tension between the owners, the Allam family, and sections of supporters.

From next season, away fans will be shifted to the north-east corner and home fans currently in those seats will be moved to behind the goal. City say the move will be a "huge benefit to the team" and bring them into line with other Premier League clubs, where away fans regularly receive the minimum allocation of tickets.

Fans affected by the move in sections E1, E2 and E3 will be offered new seats in the north stand or alternative seats in the upper tier of the west stand.

The new seating plan is believed to have the support of manager Steve Bruce and his players.

In a letter to fans, club secretary Matt Wild said: "Having sat down at various times with the manager and players in recent weeks, it has become increasingly clear how vitally important it is that we use your vociferous support to our advantage, especially at the KC Stadium. Therefore it is felt that a slight change to the layout of the ground on a matchday is needed from next season onwards.

"The KC Stadium is the only ground in the Premier League that offers visiting supporters seating directly behind the goal, a prime location for vocal support and one of the best views in the house.

"We believe it would be of huge benefit to our team and the matchday atmosphere inside the stadium, for the North Stand to be made exclusive to home supporters and to make this happen we obviously need to relocate visiting supporters."

Season ticket prices rising above £500 for the first time will be a tougher decision to find support for.

Next season, West Bromwich Albion's season passes will range in price between £399 and £449. Aston Villa charge between £335 and £615, while Sunderland's cost between £400 and £525. Swansea's are between £429 and £479.

Newly promoted Burnley are charging between £499 and £685 while Championship club Leeds United's are between £398 and £537.

How would you suggest getting away fans up and down from the west upper?

As far as the West Upper for away fans goes, it was the SAG who said it was a no go. They reckoned because away fans stood up it was dangerous as West Upper is so steep ( have these daft twats ever seen some of the grounds in Europe and South America?) and that meant the danger of a surge and people falling over the edge onto the fans below. The fact there are no instances of this happening elsewhere was irrelevant to these idiots.

How much did 2 Wembley trips cost you in tickets and travel compared to the cost of a season pass for 19 games?

I know. SAG = Plod. Access without the ridiculous fence was also an issue.

Same way as existing fans do. If it's a staircase issue, it wouldn't take much to pop one on the outside. The money saved on one side segregation would more than cover it.

There are lots of reasons why the West Stand Upper was never a serious option, it was a new East Stand Upper that should be where the away fans went, but that's obviously not going to happen any time soon.

Frozen prices last season. That remained frozen for all phases of sale, giving us all championship prices for premier league football. A pretty much full sense of agreement that prices should be increased if we are promoted, which is now finally happening a whole year onwards.

    http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/199302-Season-Card-13-14

No more pissing and moaning. This isn't any swipe at the fans as it was supposed to have happened the minute we got promoted but for some reason the club decided to hold out the whole season and let EVERYONE in on the lower prices.

So, hats off Allams, well done for that indeed.

Actually, it does happen, it happened in the championship last season I think. They may be isolated incidents but it does happen.

Main ones being the ones mentioned. None insurmountable and the end result would be less seats lost and better facilities for home fans.

    EDIT

Plus, it's taken this long for the east stand to start to develop, this will knock it back.

It's another example of poor consultation with fans. We asked to be in East when the stadium opened. AP had us in South.

One of the reasons for the price hike has to be to comply with the FFP regulations.

We are not commercially strong enough to have the luxury of Championship prices and if we want to see investment in players some of the money now has to come from somewhere other than Assam Allams pocket.

Steve Bruce has said he is looking for 5 or 6 players. We do not have big names to sell on, we are still a squad that needs development and someone has to pay the price.

AFC Bournemouth have just announced their ticket prices for the Championship. Starting with the Family at £480 and rising to £570. Concessions start at £285 and rise to £420. I know that comparisons will be made with the North/South divide, but the fact is that this is for the league below us.

I have accepted that the price rise has had to come in, it was pegged back last year and that always leads to a false percentage rise. If the club progresses we have to accept it will cost US more.

There's a difference between a price increase and a price hike, we've instantly gone from being one of the cheapest clubs in the league to mid-table. For families with four passes, is simply not going to be affordable for many and season ticket sales will fall accordingly.

Time will tell if this will actually raise any additional revenue, or if it will maintain the existing revenue, but with less fans attending, I suspect it will be the latter.

Not being funny but there are lots of people around the ground that are great to be sat around. Have you not considered that it could be even better where you move to?

Too much Castro and thats the problem . My reason for not renewing apart from price increase is another season of name change ****e. ****e atmosphere ( to a point were you just give up singing after one verse ). And out of 12 of us that stood in kempton at fer ark there is only 4 left. Now DOWN TO 2 and the other 2 are in two minds to call it a day.

The amounts we're talking about here, in the grand scheme of things, will make absolutely no difference to us complying with FFP.

It's a fair point, I was made to move after the first five years at the KC, due to a change in the corporate facilities at the club. I didn't want to move and I hated it to start with, but after a few months, I'd just got to know the people around me and it really made no difference, in fact the view was a bit better.

"In simple terms it makes sense that a guaranteed PL side costs more than a maybe-PL, maybe-Championship side."

You're worse than Allam when it comes to spouting ****.

It could be, but this move is more for the benefit of those that don't sing than for those that do. It's not only the people, but to find about 100, as we are now, is unlikely, plus we've got the hang of viewing the game from that perspective.

I've joined mates in other areas of the ground, even further up the east stand, and the group sense was virtually non-existent outside one or two rows.

More to the point, where's the consultation?
