Not sure why tbh. Unlike chelsea they have a striker and unlike chelsea they dont have 78 players 50 of which are on loan.

Sad thing is they will be poor next season. Their players are going to be shattered as he plays the same side almost every game. He has no real depth in the squad.

Shows just how well hes done tbh. Hopefully he will be given some funds as atletico tend to sell their best players every season.

Should be interesting. LVG will make RVP his captain, which won't be liked by the richest player on their books. Also, with the 'class of '92' and Fergie hanging around, how will LVG deal with them. He's not exactly known for his patience, level-headedness and diplomacy is he?

This has the potential to go either way. LVG could steady the ship well enough for another, younger, hungrier manager to come in a few years down the line, or this could be disaster #2 for the devils. I await the outcome with interest but, also, an air of indifference. As long as we're playing well, I couldn't care less about what happens at Old Trafford.

Unfortunately, LVG will do well for United. Good manager and with a big enough reputation that the manc players will give him time rather than laugh behind their backs at him.

First record to be broken; transfer window spending. They'll rack up quite a bill this summer but that has it's own risks...

Biggest problem will be Wayne being overlooked for the captaincy, amongst several other players. RVP's not exactly been there a long time and isn't quite the fearsome leader United have had in the past.

 

Awesome, they signed the man who took Barcelona from title challengers to 3pts above relegation by January.

He's going to make Moyes look like an amateur at failing!

 

It will be interesting to see what does happen over the Summer but don't take it as read that they will spend anywhere near what some are suggesting. The final word on that lies with the Glazers and van Gaal will have to make do with what the Glazers allow.

 

They need to replace Rio and Vidic with at least one top drawer CB or they'll be left with Jones, Smalling and Evans . That's about 25mill at least, then there's the LB rumoured to be Shaw. Another 25mill. Add Robben who LVG wants and the need for at least one quality CM and you're racking up the money fast.

 

They can sell off players too. No need for such a big squad if they're out of Europe.

 

Who? Young might fetch 8mill, Nani 10 and Valencia 10...then they need to replace 2 of those since Janajizz isn't enough on his own. A quality wideman is another 20...

 

I expect us to be competing with them for 3rd/4th/5th next season.
