I get the feeling that the writer of this piece really wanted to use the expression "Because she's a bird" at the end of quite a few sentences. That appears to be the only credibility in the story as far as the writer is concerned. After all, women have no place in football, especially not owning a Club.

Because he's a better manager than Mancini IMHO.

If he does go, this would be my hitlist (in order) -

1. Tuchel
2. Yakin
3. Rösler

Would be perfectly content with either of these three.

I am a bit slow and have just seen MP's post match interview where he praises the fans etc .

IMHO he said all the right things , but I don't think his heart was in it .

The way I view things like this is looking at the malice. If there's no malice, there shouldn't be a problem. If someone refers to someone as brown instead of black or Afro-Caribbean, there's no problem there, if you call someone the n word, there's a problem.

I started this with a joke about the word tranny, but as a general rule I don't like words being hijacked so that you can't use them in their first meaning. I certainly think most black people aren't that precious, but have heard media types objecting to black being used in a derogatory term such as blackmail, blackball, black market etc. I say no, you wanted to be called black (as opposed to brown) and the other terms were in use before that and no one else but the seriously sensitive would ever think that the word 'black' in blackmail was anything to do with race. Fortunately most black Britons are too sensible to get roped into semantics when there are more serious issues to address. .

With all this url nonsense coming up as not606.com I don't know if the latest Sunday Express article has been posted but in it, it says "Liebherr has repaired her relations with Pochettino after the pair fell out earlier this year and has no intention of selling the club. Instead, she and new chairman Ralph Krueger intend to try to keep their talented young manager, who steered the club to eighth in the Premier League, playing some excellent football". I was not aware the Poch had fallen out with KL? I thought it was just NC having a hissy fit?

p.s. I agree totally with JFB above. context is everything. Even the F word can be harmless when used as expressive whereas is very offensive when used aggressively. Anyway I'll get back to topic now which is.......mmmmmmm....not sure

 

Nobody fell out with anybody. NC wanted to retain total control over Saints and KL understandably decided she wanted some involvement since the finance she was providing was about to get slightly more significant. NC became a benign dictator with the carpet pulled out from underneath him. He went and here we are, with a bad case of the uncertainties.

 

There is no risk of offending anyone unless people make a drama about it. Either you want everyone to talk and think in a homogenous way or you let people express themselves even if it is not pc.

Real Madrid lose the Champions League on Saturday, then maybe Ancelotti gets the boot. That opens up all sorts of possibilities on the manager merry go round.

 

Bit of a Catch22 situation here. I don't think there will be any news until the players come back from the World Cup. If they remain as Saints players then Poch will stay. If Poch remains as Saints manager then the players will stay. But the players won't know if Poch is staying unless they stay. And Poch won't know if the players are staying unless he stays.

I think we may be playing the 14 year olds next season.

 

Pochettino will be sorted either way before the end of the World Cup.
