After a catastrophic season: being last in the League after 7 rounds played, losing the League cup final this thursday, a manager sacking and also, later, the sacking of the director of sports, FC København today secured 2nd spot in the Danish League. 2nd spot is the entry ticket for qualification to Champions League! It was quite a drama: Midtjylland were supposed to Loose to Søndejyske, which was highly unrealistic as Søndejyske has been batteling Against relegation for the most of the season and Midtjylland were in 2nd place, and were, obviously, keen to retain their chance for playing CL. FC København, symptomaticly for this season, conceded a goal after 8 minutes, and at half time both Søndejyske anf FC København were trailing 0-1. Søndejyske somehow managed to win their match 3-1 (unbelievable) and in stoppage time FC København scored to 3-2 on a deflected long shot. This after leading 2-1 and a late (86. minute) equalizer. Been on a rollercoaster ride today, and through out this season. Major transfers (in a Danish perspective) will happen. And FC København will challenge for European glory!
FCK cant even sign Margreitter cos' they can't compete with the contract he has got at wolves. I'll eat my own feces for a week if the qualify!
