    Wrote a nice long piece answering this at four in the morning because I couldn't sleep and the site went down...luckily for you, I can't be bothered to do it again. It is just tosh...basically we have a lot of good players that people now want, but doesn't mean we are going to sell them all. Meetings are likely at this time of the year. Our only crisis is Mauricio who seems to be keeping us hanging...not a good thing. We may sell 1-2 players, but massive exodus is rubbish....they are not all going to agitate. They were happy a week ago, they'll be happy now.

    Very well put. I was thinking along similar lines myself. The excitement of joining a club with champions league potential (but with a new bunch of players who will initially treat you a bit cautiously) can only be bettered by seeing a champions league team being built around you and your mates. Not just the team but the whole club is evolving. They will report back in July to one of the best training facilities in the country. Yes I know they might get more money but that only has a very short term motivation until you lifestyle eats up the difference.

    If MP doesn't want to sign a deal until he is certain that our best players are staying put, then that might not be until the start of next season. Les Reed seemed relaxed about all this, Mauricio seemed relaxed too. Let's all chill and enjoy the WC and the summer and not open a tabloid paper ever again.

    Can you really not see why the word tranny is controversial?

    In the context of a radio, it shouldn't be controversial at all.

    There are plenty of other words that accomplish exactly the same thing, and it's more about not understand how it could be seen as controversial. It's like how nobody describes things as 'queer' any more - there are better words that don't sacrifice any meaning and there's no risk of offending anybody.

    Actually no I can't...... the only association I can think of with the word tranny is that it is short for the word transistor. It has no other meaning for me. However I am always willing to be educated..............

    I wasn't talking about Lallana and Shaw but Wanyama and Lovren, who'd been mentioned. I'm not saying it's what will happen either, they're just good examples of players disregarding contracts to try and pressure the club into selling. To be honest, at least Benteke did the right thing in putting in a transfer request, many players do everything but that because they lose their loyalty bonus if they hand in a transfer request.

    These quotes are from a few months before Modric went on strike: “It doesn’t matter if we qualify or don’t qualify for the Champions League, the team will stay together,”. “We are all thinking positively that we will qualify. No one is thinking of leaving Tottenham. We are happy here. Tottenham are a big club.” - http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...will-stay-together-even-if-mission-fails.html

    Unfortunately players can reel off the right things to say and not mean it. Not saying it will happen to you guys(I hope it doesn't) or with the players mentioned but there's always a danger so you can never be sure until the window shuts.

    PS I hope you guys aren't inflicted with Sideshow Sherwood if Poch does leave, he's a terrible manager no matter what the PL numbers say.

    Well look who it is...

    Tancredi Palmeri: Tottenham have contacted Roberto Mancini. He gave his availability. Tottenham still having Pochettino as first option

    Maybe we could get Mancini then? :p

    Seriously though, I like Pochettino and all, but why would you go for him ahead of Mancini?

    I agree with Beddy and I cannot see why people are not allowed to use the English Language properly. When my 8 year old asked what Gay means I told it means happy and I am right. My Mum often uses words like queer as in strange or puzzling. I use the slang Chav meaning friend or mate.

    It complete BS that people or communities or groups can hijack a word whether it be a true word or slang and then insist it means something else.

    Gay = happy
    Queer = Strange
    Chav = mate
    and a Queen is a member royalty.
