Looks good. Godzilla was different than what I expected. Good, but I was hoping to be scared. Not at all.

Just watched Enemy. Hard to say what just happened. I liked it but what to make of the ending? If you like arthouse films then yes watch it as it certainly falls into that category. I remember watching Mulholland Drive and thinking that I've just seen a great film yet I have no idea of what just happened. This doesn't quite get there, yes it's good but not great.

The director is the same guy who did Prisoners and the feel of the film is the same, bleak depressing and very dark, this guy has a great film in him but this isn't it.

Watch when in the mood for something different.

  3. Season three complete. The finale was disappointing but its left it open for a return.

Just to see how they adapt it. I read the books so it's interesting seeing what they change or add in.

GoT new episode merely confirmed what we all expected to happen. Still, some more great acting from Dinklage. Currently, one of my favourite actors. <ok>

  14. You may have seen but I like Arrow. A work colleague likes it too but we get very different aspects when watching it because he's read the comics whereas I haven't. Means he recognises the characters much earlier than me <laugh>

Its similar with Walking Dead too I believe?

It's a good show but as with The Following when you have 20+ episodes per season there are too many fillers and the main story loses pace. I deleted the last few didn't even get to the end of S1.

  16. I assume you're talking about Arrow there? There are a lot of episodes, the good thing about most of the first season is each episode had its own story line and finale. Sure, they linked together but it was more like a season of Batman; a new bad guy in each but similar characters throughout and referrals to previous events too. Season two takes a slightly different approach in that its one long story line instead.

I was enjoying it for a while but at some point I just lost interest. I need to find something new now probably going to go with Penny Dreadful and Justified.

  18. I've gone off Arrow a bit now. Still love it but not obsessed like I was. Think its a combination of having to wait week-to-week to watch it and me watching BB & WD too. Can't watch arrow for a while now anyway, season two finale was last week. Finished BB and only got another nine or ten episodes of WD left too. So, like you, I'll need something else shortly.

You should try 'The Wire' - takes a couple of episodes to lay the foundations then gets better and better and ever better. To the point it's 'The Daddy Of Them All' (qoute taken from the sky boxsets advert <ok>)

Also - Boardwalk Empire is well worth a watch.

The first time round I watched a couple of episodes and left it at that.

But ended up being bought the box set series 1-3 as a present, so gave it another go - it's outstanding mate, just need to give it few episodes to get going.
