i would like that. would he maybe come in alongside someone like zola? not sure. i suspect carrabuh is right on that front - can't see it either.

i don't understand the lennon stuff. two (relatively) clued up national journos both say he's not going to get the job, the edp say the same (probably based on what they've heard from those two admittedly, rather than any work off their own backs) yet his odds have shortened still further today. now ok, betting patterns are often slightly odd but this is farcical - he is the clear favourite for the job with every national bookie (running a book) so if its so well known that he isn't getting it, why are people still plundering silly money at him?

for me, this job still has malky written all over it. he had bbc commitments today - could explain any possible delay.

i still think it'll be him.

I had the same thought earlier. It makes sense but if West Brom come in for him he'd probably take that job.

As made up as this sounds, I'm not sure I can reveal my source but he's already spoken to Norwich and West Brom and would rather take Norwich back up. Money would probably be the only thing to settle it in West Brom's favour.

west brom's chairman (mr peace) is a difficult chairman to work for by all accounts

add to that the fact they have 20+ players out of contract this summer...

Crazy to think that they finished 8th last season and were generally considered a well-run outfit. Quite a contrast to their current situation.

Although I'm a bit uneasy on him being manager, he will still get my 100% backing and hopefully he can persuade the majority to stay aboard and get us back up.

    Sounds a done deal.

Mackay is probably best suited to the side we have.
Whilst it's not an exciting appointment I think it's the correct one.

    Haha, go ahead!

Hope it is Malky as seems likely. Best appointment given the circumstances.

Do the changing odds in favour of McKay coincide with Charlie Wyett's tweet the story will be in the Sun today?

Can one person's comment influence the market that much?

Are there other sources confirming that it's Malky?
