wow that's hardcore, I did a mates wedding last weekend (I never normally do weddings) and found doing 5 hours very tough. I found the audience even tougher..... never again.
I used to do 3-4 hours in the cornerhouse (boro) then 2/3 hours in the arena each week, love it, total control
4 hours is my absolute limit like, and I'll only do that overseas. It's ****ing hard work, people forget that loud noise to the brain is seriously tiring, and I can't use the earplugs they just feel weird.
I am the same, I do 4 hours if I can't get a warm up DJ, but I like to do 2 really good hours and that's it. My brother is the opposite he likes having total control. We almost never DJ together anymore as it end up in an argument. Its a shame as we used to do quite a cool back to back hour.
Aye, 2 hours for me as well, any less is just pointless, you can't direct anything. I usually do an hour b2b plus 2 hours, ideally, I do like b2b you get a buzz going amongst yourselves, and generally folk react to that
