We recently ran a story on Harry Redknapp mistakenly bidding £60m for Alexis Sanchis. Do you Arsenal fans think he is a better manager than Wenger?
No, he really isn't. I think Spurs fans would find it hard to argue that too. The highest accolade Redknapp can boast about is the FA cup and he's never managed outside of England or on the international stage.
Redknapp very nearly pipped Wenger's Arsenal twice in a row, despite not having the revenue income that AFC has. I think that speaks volumes, and informs every knowledgeable fan who is the better manager.
Arsenal nearly won the league a couple of times over the last 5 years, it still got us **** all though didn't it? I would say that the fact that Wenger has managed to finish above Spurs every season that he has been in charge would mean that he is better than any manager Spurs have had in that time.
Hey, listen. I love the fact that we're always the underdog, because come the day we finish above you (and that day will surely come), the joy will be overwhelming! Amen!
There's nothing certain in this life, Mr SNIOM. Well, except for the eternal optimism of 'Pool fans that "next year will be [their] year," of course.
The optimism of 'Pool fans is nearly as misplaced as Spuds fans with their "Next year we'll finish higher than Arsenal"
It's also a certainty that the NLD will be a goal-a-minute, heart-in-your-mouthathon with many individual mistakes and spectacular goals.
A one pound bet in 1995/6 on who'd finish above reinvested at double or quits would have won £32,768 this year thats according to this website http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~mikepitt/tothistory.html
I can't work out if that's supposed to be a wum comment, a tearful rant or the idiotic ramblings of jealousy ?
