Your the joke buddy , everyone knows how great a job Jenkins did up till this season , Ive already said that.If you want to pretend someone said sometbing different , enjoy . But pulling the plug on Laudrup and his team after the window closed is possibly the stupiest sacking , and ruining of a season ever in the Premier . The men that Huw hired got us to the big time , know he thinks he can do the job with someone he controls ..... not a good scenario.
I cant understand how you cant grasp the fact that we sacked him.....Why is that i wonder ? could it be that nobody could get on with him and he was pants for over a years worth of football maybe ? It could be that you know because bigger and better managers have been sacked for doing better in a shorter time than a year. I reckon it must be that as you don't get the sack for doing a brilliant job do you...just a thought..
Controlling transfers and managers is not the norm for chairman, shake your head and tell us if you hear anything prject ....to many late nights has clouded your brain . I wont resort to pinning a debilitating disease to you though.....a zombie fan maybe .
Controlling transfers is the norm for a chairman. They have the final say as they control the purse strings. It's the same at every club. the chairman decides how much money a manager will have for any given transfer window. At the end of the day, the chairman is the manager's boss. While the manager is free to do certain things his way, on the whole, the manager must agree to the club principles and ethics that are set by the chairman. The chairman and the manager must see eye-to-eye and both have the same ambition for the club. If the manager disagrees with a chairman about the route the club is going down, there's only one loser. The manager.
Ruining of a season. Explain to me why we scored more goals per game and accumulated more points per game after the sacking of Laudrup? Hardly the ruining of a season. We actually got better. Some would say it was the turning point of the season. Your glass is half empty.
All chairman TRY to steer a expierenced manager as much as a manager will take . Not many chairman install a rookie manage rand control his every move because he knows he can kidderz.and thats where we are at now imo ,
Ive said it a million times, but ill say it a million and one , a healthy team ( including a coming into form Bony )and a less prominent list of teams to play is the reason . And even at that we were having to win ugly late to secure another season in the Premier .
Any proof that he's controlling his every move? Or are you just mistaking two men with the same motive and aspirations as the one with more power calling all the shots? We've got two men pulling in the same direction now. Better than what we had before.
We scored more goals per game and accumulated more points per game under Monk this season, than we did under Laudrup in his first season too. This isn't all down to luck. Monk was the manager and we stayed up comfortably. Can you give him credit for it?
In reality , I feel I could have done better myself kidderz.Do you think it was Monks idea to put the line up out against Everton in the FA CUP game kidderz ?
Your answer has basically confirmed to me that you won't be happy unless Huw, Monk, or even both are gone. How can you possibly say you could have done better yourself?! The line up that almost won away at Everton? Had it not been for Taylor's extremely costly backpass we were on top in that match, despite the line up. Vasquez missed a couple of sitters too - not one of Laudrup's best signings, was he? Who would you have played? Considering you'd just played the South Wales derby the weekend before, had just travelled to and played Stoke mid-week, were playing Napoli mid-week coming up, travelling to Liverpool next week, and travelling to Napoli the mid-week after that. You can look at the team vs Everton and say that the team selection was bad. But when you put it into context and see the amount of games and travelling that we had to do that month, we needed to play a weakened side at some point. The FA Cup was probably the best call.
So maybe if we put out a REAL LINE UP , we probably would have won and actually treated the game with the respect it deserved .Do didn't answer the guestion kidderz , do you think Monk put out that line up on his own or told too .
There were plenty of questions asked. Opinions were split, however, because our first realistic chance of major silverware was looming just a week later. Laudrup was livid about the performance and obviously things were said in the dressing room. Our centre back pair were obviously held mainly responsible because Bartley was shipped out on loan and Monk was replaced by Ki to take Chico's place at Wembley. I doubt Monk ever forgave Laudrup for that.
Come on now roof you know fully well the games we had coming up in a very short space of time and monks job was first and foremost to keep us in the premiership. Cup games were an interference at that stage and not worth the risk of injury to key players at that time....come on now look at the situation we were in and get real....at the end of the day it worked and we got safe with two games to spare....We live another season in the premiership and that was the only thing monk's job was to concentrate on and achieve....and he done it...
Getting 10 players back from injury and playing a series of dire teams. Some of the worst performances of the season came under Monk's leadership. I will never be convinced we played better at the end of the season - great we got results but no one can say Newcastle, Sunderland, Villa and Norwich were anything but shocking. Laudrup has gone and Monk is out manager - time to move forward (but please let's not re-write history).
Bob you have to be blind and bloody deaf not to see the better football by everyone in the side. There was no comparison whatsoever between the two styles with the same team......The fans should tell you that for gods sake by the atmosphere that went from being at a library to absolute joy....Dont try and tell us that you never saw any difference because if you do then you were obviously not at any of our games..
