    It's a dilemma....

Do I want Liverpool to keep Suarez? Who lets face it is a world class, technically gifted forward who will continue to terrorise defences. But on the other hand at least they don't have as much to spend addressing the weaknesses in the rest of the squad. And he may not be able to reach the heights he has this season, again.

    or...

Do I want Liverpool to sell him for £70m to £100m? They then replace one world class player with several quality players who strengthen their first team. But then again, they may spunk it on squad players who aren't quite good enough, like they have done over the last couple of decades.

They will not get 100 million, I'd be amazed if they get anywhere near 70 tbh. If they get an offer of 70 it would be one they'd be stupid to turn down, as he's worth 40 at most

    100million hahahaha.

Ronaldo is worth 400trillion if suarez is worth 100million.

The days of 80million players is over.

Suarez will go for 40 to 60 million. Costa is going for 32million so 40million for suarez is good business.

Hes a very good player but hes not at that elite level with messi and ronaldo nor is he going to make any money for a club as hes a very dialikabke character.

Ive always said he will go for 60mill as liverpool will scrape every penny for him. The buying club will regret it.

The racist has learnt from last summer. He will declare his undying love for the RS until he signs on the dotted line. Then it won't matter one jot whether they like him or not, will it? <ok>

The RS may well get close to £100m but from past history the racist will probably do a Torres and sink into oblivion. The RS Will use this money to buy another Carroll, another downing another Henderson ...<laugh>

The deluded RS fans thought they might win the title this season, and no doubt they will think the title is theirs next season.

  6. That would make Messi worth about £1b then. Obviously, £1b+£1 to Arsenal though <laugh>

A crocked racist is good for English football. I wonder whether Stevie will be crying tears of joy or sadness ... this time. <whistle>

Dilemma for the RS fans who also support England: Do they want the racist to stay crocked or do they want him to play against an England team captained by Stevie? He could be the difference in England having a good or a **** campaign..<ok>

That doesn't really answer my question.

In answer to yours, I don't give a flying **** what happens. I just don't want any injuries to current or prospective Liverpool players.

Interesting point given the world record fee was only beaten last year!

Costa money is a red herring as that is his buy out. He'd be closer to 50 million without it I suspect.

FFP wasnt in effect last year. Its over.

And have you heard the news that Costa doesnt want to play for you and wants to cancel the deal? Would you still go ahead with it, knowing he wants out from day one? Dodgy ground having players who dont want to be there.

FFP was in place hence why clubs are getting fines etc now. I think the Luiz deal proves FFP isn't scaring some clubs.

    Source for the Costa thing?

If Costa doesn't want to come then he won't. No-one can force him to sign a contract. I suspect a 2-3 times pay rise may sweeten the deal though ;)

Rooney, Hernandez, Wellbeck are making the ground very dodgy for Utd then?

  19. FFP makes these deals more likely. The mega rich clubs that don't care will still spend. The others will look to sell high giving them a platform to buy top players.
