I remember Celtic languishing 10 points behind Rangers in the league in 2011/12 season, being 3 nil down away at Kilmarnock and Lennon looking as though he was on the brink of losing his job. However, what followed was a 3 goal come back from Celtic which acted as a launch pad for them to go on and overtake Rangers in the League and win the Championship. The point of all of that is that in the past when it looked as though things had gone desperately wrong for him he has been able to turn it around. So when you say you think things would go wrong very quickly, if a few results went against him, there is evidence which would seem to contradict this.
I've long since lost my faith in the politics of this country where the privileged operate a "closed loop" which is out of reach of normal people. Makes a complete mockery of the whole system and what we went to war for in ww2. The ruling people having virtually zero connection with the general public and the people they rule over.
As I said earlier, this is exactly what I think McNally was referring to with his management structure changes, and too much resting on one individuals shoulders....
We are not "ruled" we are "governed" with the consent of the electorate! You can't just piss all over the democratic process just because you don't like the result!
Sorry JWM I am going to disagree with you here. The political system has been crafted so only the privileged have a chance. The voting system is unfair and biased and based on ratio's that largely suit the 2 main parties. I don't want to get into it on here to much.
Hi, all my names mark, I thought i would finally post as I've been reading the majority of posts and following the banter!. As for the managers post Lennon for me, but Malky wouldn't be a disaster!
I think it's the same every time, 90% of people vote out of fear that the others will get in. If you're public sector, poor or a lazy bastard it's labour. Middle class upwards tory, but it's only a minute minority that have any faith in any party. (over simplistic, I know but) as a working white healthy male who has a sense of fairness and perspective. Who the hell do you vote for??? I would still lean towards lennon of the two probable, not sure there is any greatly rational reason to do so but I already can't wait for next season, who ever is at the helm OTBC I?WT Bah!
Welcome Mark, I think personally I'd choose Malky over Lennon just because he has experience in the Championship, Lennon has experience in the SPL which is a bit of a one team league. There are benefits to Lennon, Hooper and Snodgrass might be more inclined to stay but if we want to go straight back up Malky is our man.
I must say opinions are great thing as we are all entitled to them, but as I said I'd be equally happy with Malky with the norwich connection and all. And thanks for the welcome fenland!
I've heard a little rumour late last night it's Lennon, with a press conference scheduled for later today? Like I said just a rumour but my source gave me Hughton sacking before it was released so I haven't dismissed it.
Now Adams has watered down his ambition of being number 1 to he would be happy to be involved, say he has not got the job. Add Lennon won't be bring a back team staff as they left him at the end of the season, That makes me think it will be Lennon and Adams. Malky wants to bring his team with him no doubt Well that's how I see it but who really know apart from McNally
