We gave him his chance and nurtured him after he was told by other clubs he was to small, his goals for us were a return for us showing faith in him. The little **** deliberately ran his contract down after making empty promises, the difference between Ronaldo's move and Owen's was Ronaldo was ulp front with Utd about his plans to move to Real and Utd got his market worth when he left and rightly so, if Owen had have done his business in a similar fashion he wouldn't have left a sour taste behind when he left.
I can agree with this, Ronaldo actually signed a new contract the year before he left (having been promissed he could leave) so that United could demand full market value. I think it may also have been his way of seeing how much Real wanted him.
That's utter ****. He was easily a better player than fowler. He served his time and got his move, you can't blame him for going to Madrid. If he ran his contract down to go straight to a rival then fair enough. I don't think I hate any of our ex players.. Other than perhaps ince for signing for you lot.
Robbie loved the club and showed loyalty as well as being a prolific goalscorer for us and thus is a legend, Mikey was only ever loyal to himself from minute one. Him signing for Utd wasn't the fly in the ointment with our support it was the millions he cost the club when he sorted his move to Madrid behind the clubs back.
I get your love of fowler. I've always viewed becks move to Madrid as a sham, he was worth double what we got for him, but none of us to my knowledge hate him for it.
As said by myself and Diego, Ronaldo left Utd with his head held high and was and still is regarded as a legend because his move to Madrid was transparent but Owen never gave us the same respect by comparison sweats.
Fergie wanted him out, the fans had no gripe and the fee wasn`t forced. It suited both clubs at the time and left us with great memories of a great player
Warren Ball. Fecker used to kick me all game (and not just me, anyone to impress his mates) every day at school until I lamped him one day. Absolutely hated the prick.
I couldn't stand this bloke called 'Paul Dancey' - one hell of central midfielder, he was all over you like a rash. Turned out to be a very good player I believe, playing for some Conference team. But **** me he was frustrating to play against, I think I got sent off twice playing aginst him - the ****er used to get me all
Neville was just messing around that day, you could see he was holding back a smile. Schmeichel even knew he was joking around
With the exception of Tevez I don't have any issue with any former United player who has served the club. Unlike Liverpool fans, who turn on them as soon add they're gone. Really looking forward to Suarez going as it goes. Then the truth will out.
