yep its been a long wait. Some waited and moved on, some waited and passed on. Some just waited and waited and waited and never gave up.
One of my favourite ever games was one we lost, 3-2 at Bramall Lane under Taylor. Both tiers of fans in the packed away end did not stop for one minute, even at 2-0 down, and we were as instrumental as anything in getting us back to 2-2 before their injury time winner. I floated out of the stadium, exhilirated beyond belief and it was a better feeling than countless wins. The icing on the cake was when PT was interviewed on telly, his one post match comment was "our fans showed Sheff Utd how to support a team today".
Sons and daughters of Hull, of Yorkshire, my kin: I see in your eyes the same fear that will take the heart of me! And a day may come, when the courage of Yorkshire fails, when we forsake our friends, and all bonds of fellowship are broken. But it is not this day. There may come a time of swords and an hour of gunners, when the age of Tigers comes crashing down! But it is not this day. This day WE FIGHT!
There is a group of us catching the 10am train from Southampton. It leaves Poole at 8.50 and City fans will be joining at Brockenhurst, Southampton and Winchester. Get on board!!
well put. i've been waiting most of my life for this. I will be there, be loud and be proud. bring it on.
The best rendition of 'Peter Taylor's black and amber army' that day, it seemed to go on forever. Was a great day despite the result.
Hopefully some of our livlier fans are grouped together and the allocation system has worked ok I'll be singing all game whatever happens
I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips, Straining upon the start. The game's afoot: Follow your spirit, and upon this charge Cry 'God for Hull City, England, and Saint George!
“In War: Resolution, In Defeat: Defiance, In Victory: Magnaminity In Peace: Good Will.” - Winston Churchill talking about Hull City.
