Speaking of that Spanish game, guy on SSN just said "The strength of Athletico is, their team."

Oh, for heaven's sake! Do Hull folk turn into pumpkins at midnight. Games don't kick off until 9pm in some countries. Home fans will get home later than you did. Though they are a bit better than here, not everywhere will. Be shut by midnight and transport available. The other night the Europa Cup Final didn't finish until 11.30, then there were the presentations and a a1,200 mile journey home, a mere 1,000 miles more than from London to Hull.
People keep saying Hull is a tough , working class city populated by tough types. The Spaniards, amongst others seem made of sterner stuff.
Our fans would be leaving half way through the first half if we kicked off at rhe KC at 9pm going by the way they have to get out early as they have 3 or 4 miles to travel and getting in after 10.30 would be too awful to contemplate.

it stinks. won 2 tickets today in the FA Cup facebook competition. Front row and near the middle of the pitch, so must be quality position and worth a bit. So checked train times and it is impossible to get back to Cheshire same night (and 100% certain all hotels/b and b will be full). so can't ruddy go

Don't be so silly, there's ****ing hundreds of hotels in and around London which you can get to easily. Find someone who can drive. Christ you don't seem very bothered about going...

Stay on the piss 'til morning, get over to Euston for the first train back Sunday, there'll never be another first FA Cup final.

Oh dear. Do what I used to do years ago. Used to get back to Hull in the early hours after away games in my younger days and didn't live in Hull so crashed out anywhere there was a dry place. Then hitch hiked home in the morning. You can't find somewhere to stay in one of the world's largest cities? Unbelieveable!

You must be tearing your hair out seeing drama queens like this given your own unfortunate circumstances.

ok olm I was wrong in my assumption - but as unemployed I object to paying for a hotel room which would not have been needed if the ko had been 3pm

So you got 2 free tickets to the game, and are complaining about paying for somewhere to crash for the night because there are no trains back to Cheshire? No idea where abouts in Cheshire you live, but worst case, train back at 820 from Euston, 30 mins trip from Wembley to Euston, game should finish at 7 all being well, and christ, even if it goes to extra time you could still make it in time. This is without just booking a hotel.

Why do people like you enter competitions like this?

I'd be at this game if it was a 3.00am kick off and I was a homeless bloke with no arms or legs.

Blag yourself onto the sleeper train at Euston by saying the crowd coming out the game made it impossible to catch the train you were meant to and now you can't get home. At least one of them stops in a station somewhere like Preston on it's way up to Scotland so you're a lot nearer than even stopping in a hotel.

With it being a 5pm kick off and very warm, I'm fully aware that I sound like everyone's Mum but please no one ruin the finest day in the club's history for themselves by getting too tanked.

This has been a public Heath & Safety announcement by a teetotal nobhead.
