that's been my line of thinking too rob. i felt he'd only come if we stayed up. i'm positive he's been mcnally's first choice all along. mark hateley spoke a lot of sense in that piece, even though it inevitably wound up the celtic brethren
I am Fenland, a colleague of mine made this radical suggestion to me this morning! I told him in no uncertain terms that it would not be a popular appointment. But he wouldn't let it drop so I put it to you guys haha
the bookies markets for new managers are all over the place, i wouldn't read anything into the lennon odds shortening, it's based on speculation.
Very true, it's all based on the media hype of recent days, I'd say it might even be someone we hadn't thought of, like Big Sam
This may well be a reason for the dramatic shortening of Lennon's odds: http://www.pinkun.com/norwich-city/...l_be_appointed_norwich_city_manager_1_3603371 Sounds like quite a few were taken in. I'd be happy with Lennon, but I remain sceptical that he would want to come here now. Happy to be proven wrong - it may well show something of the ambitions of the board, a statement of intent and also suggests they will have told Lennon something we don't know about the future of Norwich City.
Ive been off work all week due to a dodgy knee and every morning ive woken up thinking today will be the day we find out. Limp down the stairs as fast as can to switch on Sky news but NOTHING. Getting a tad pissed orf now with the waiting. It better be good
When are we all taking the end of the week to be then? I can't see us making an announcement over the weekend, so surely it's today or Monday? If it's any longer than that, either a better candidate to those we were lining up has become available, negotiations are dragging out more than McNally expected, or our chief executive has been making bold statements without any substance, dare I say, again?
How on earth is not rushing into a poor decision a failure? Sometimes you excel yourself JWM, but don't ask me in what way, I wouldn't want to be rude!
You are really showing your stupidity now, have you heard the expression, "When you're already in a hole, stop digging?" You really are demonstrating a huge lack of common sense!
i can't quite understand what all the fuss is about. clearly they've identified the candidates they wanted to talk to, spent the week negotiating with those people (and clubs if required) and if and when that process has been finalised they will make their choice. why does it matter what day it's confirmed? the statement the club made was not a message of certainty, more a guide as to when they hoped to make an announcement, which even with my crap maths skills has still not been reached anyway! (sunday + 1 week = next sunday).
