I see the ‘not obsessed with Hull City and Bruce whatsoever’ Sunlan fans are firmly planting their support in the Arsenal camp. http://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/whole-world-want-hull-to-beat-arsenal-on-saturday.918667/page-4 Off the top, the only team I’d ever actively want Arsenal to beat in an FA Cup Final would be a historic rival of ours: Leeds, Sheff Utd etc or maybe if Arsenal were the actual underdogs, playing a bigger team like Man Utd, Chelsea or Spurs. Mind you, look how Sunlan creamed themselves over finishing a point above us this season? I suppose in doing that, Sunderland have already won their cup final. Bless ‘em.
I've just had a text off a kid i used to work with, proper Arse fan. They know they should win but they're bricking it. hehe Massive upset on the cards. 2-1 to us.
Reckon we should start with: McGregor Rosenior - Davies - McShane - Figueroa Elmo - Huddlestone - Livermore - Meyler Fryatt - Koren/Aluko Reckon Koren and Fryatt could actually be an interesting front two combination after their time together at Championship level, and Aluko to me would be a better impact player off the bench for Koren after HT. It's hard though, because Meyler isn't an obvious left option, but I'd rather 4-4-2 to a 5-3-2, and Meyler deserves to start. Perhaps Quinn on the left? Bruce seems impressed with Quinn's form. Reckon if we can start cagey and hopefully get Arsenal supporters on their players' backs, then get some decent counter attacks going, we'll be right in it. Most crucial players - in my opinion - are Davies, Elmo and Huddlestone. If they play great games then I think that's half the job done.
I'd go either 4-5-1 or 4-3-3. 4-5-1 either: ------------McGregor----------- Elmo--McShane---Davies--Rosenior Aluko-Livermore-Hudd-Meyler-Sagbo ---------------Fryatt------------- OR ------------McGregor----------- Elmo--McShane---Davies--Rosenior Aluko-Livermore-Hudd-Meyler-Quinn ---------------Sagbo------------- (Fryatt impact sub) 4-3-3: ------------McGregor----------- Elmo--McShane---Davies--Rosenior ---Livermore--Hudd--Meyler---- ----Aluko----Fryatt----Sagbo----
That line up looks about right to me...I'd use Koren, Boyd, and Quinn or Sagbo as the impact subs. Think SB will definitely start a 4-4-2.
--------------McGregor Rosie--McShane--Davies--Figueroa Elmo--Livermore--Huddlestone--Quinn ---------------Aluko -----------------Fryatt
Don't think so. I think we pack the midfield and Quinn or Boyd comes into a 5-man midfield, leaving Fryatt as the lone striker. Aluko has been too unpredictable of late to be anything but an impact sub, but I can see both him and Sagbo having a role to play as the game wears on.
I would like to see: harper (McGregor not fully fit imo) elmo davies bruce the fig (mchsane also not up to speed) rosie meyler hudds Livermore fryatt sagbo bench: McGregor, mchsane, roko, Quinn, boyd, brady, aluko
Whittling, I tried that theory on Chazz and his brother last night in the pub, I think they are still laughing at me...and with my 900th post I just want to say GIVE IT YOUR VERY BEST LADS, WHATEVER THE OUTCOME, WE LOVE YOU HULL CITY AFC! I am going for 2-1 to us, them to score first. For a number of reasons, I won't be at Wembley tomorrow, but I wish everyone on this board a really fantastic, enjoyable, safe and hopefully joyous day! UTT
Me neither, I can't believe he would have stuck to 3-5-2 throughout against Everton and left Long on the bench, when that game was crying out for us to switch to 4-4-2 to try and get something, unless he was planning on starting with that at Wembley.
I'm ****ting myself. Mcgregor Davies Bruce Chester(Praying) Elmo Meyler Huddz Livermore Rosenior Boyd Fryatt
