Got bored of exam prep, so decided to commemorate this period in the club's history with a little photoshop work...

I must own up although I should add that the age thing was a second thought. I misread a line and got 35 lol.

I was originally just saying his goals got them up. class striker at that level as we know, but we also know he has been a bit of a let down before when stepping up to the PL. That could have happened to us with Lambert but it didn't so we didn't need to buy a £10m lead striker. They will be thinking. Mmmmm will he do well this time. They will probably have to get a better lead striker.

I would search for an emabarrased emoticon for the age thing but I'm awfff. lol

 

Schneiderlin as Judas eh? So HE'S the one leaking stories to the papers!

 

Was half-tempted to put Cortese in the back window, but thought that'd be a bit harsh.

 

What's the point of going to Guadalajara? The whole point is that we dress up as stereotypical Mexicans and leg it across the border to see who gets furthest into the country before being gunned down. I suppose we could make a road trip of it. Fly to Cancun, stay there for a while doing... Cancun stuff... then while we recover from Cancun stuff we fly into Mexico City, see the sites, take a bus up to Guadalajara, then hitchhike through Monterrey and up to the border. Obviously we want to run into Texas to increase our chances of being gunned down.

also although he has got five more goals than ever before, half of his total were penalties.

jamie vardy is fancied by some to step up.

 

That's a very expensive shopping list. I know Shaw will be wanted by other teams, but if we hold firm against United and they sign a couple of players on that list then I think they will be reluctant to spend more and I doubt Shaw is a priority for Van Gaal

 

I draw up Christmas lists...I don't expect everything. This all comes down to Mauricio...I think to convince him to stay put, the board will go along with what he wants. I suspect MP also has a shopping list...he may be willing to let 1-2 players go to fund what he wants. I used to think Lallana was the deal breaker, but the more I think about it...we are stronger in MF than anywhere. Have to get more than 20 million though...that's a joke. However, we are not strong at LB...Luke would be hard to replace as he is an attacking LB who will only get better. He also can probably be convinced to stay (Cortese would have held his teddy bear hostage, but we could just hold a gun to JWP's head .)

 

Yeah, I wanted to have a nice holiday in Mexico - drinks and whatnot - before the border run. Tijuana is the typical place for that near the border, but maybe a bigger trip would be in order. I'd quite like to see some Aztec ****.

 

As I hardly drink, I can see me being the only one fit enough to storm the border. If we are going on a tour first, I have always wanted to visit Petra...I know it's in Jordan, but we don't have to fly direct if we set off now.

 

You couldn't have picked somewhere further away from Mexico. I suppose there are numerous ways we could get ourselves shot in Saudi Arabia after a visit to Jordan.

 

Call me a massive pessimist (which I am with anything relating to Saints) but the thing which I keep going back to with all these rumours is the fact that several senior squad members (Lallana, Fonte and Schneiderlin off the top of my head) have been quoted recently as saying that there needs to be investment into the squad in the summer. These guys should know better than any of us what the board plan for the future of the club and the fact they all came out and urged the board to spend makes me think that they have heard that the board wasn't going to spend this summer. I may be wrong, but I just think that if they had heard/were assured that the ambition to break top 6/top 4 was still there then I don't see why they would be saying things like this.

 

What else are they going to say when bombarded with questions by reporters. They cant win.

If you want to get yourselves shot then Tijuana is the place to go. I couldn't get out of there fast enough but made the right decision to head south not north. The road trip to Los Cabos is amazing. A long way from any Aztec **** though.
