"How many points did your capitol city status gain you ? just asking " It's tempting to keep the Eurovision theme in answer to that one but sadly it would be inaccurate.
Not sure how long Ole will last to be honest, getting out of the Championship will be difficult for him in my view, given they will be up against the mighty QPR, and the super Wigan, can see him going half way through the season, and the porn star Paul Jewell taking over!...................
I can see Ole bringing Cardiff right back up , if Tan can look after the finance and leave everything football to Ole. Ole took over the team in crisis with not a lot of time to stop the bleeding . I think he will have an impact this next season , especially with his connections
You may be right but I disagree with the phrease "not a lot of time". Wasn't Mackay sacked in December?
Seeing as this is an active thread, some of you guys took part in the World Cup sweep on our board lads. Pop over to see who you've got
Cardiff must be up there as one of the favourites to go up but as we all know its a funny old league the Championship. Questions will be asked at the top if all isn't going well by Christmas. Before the comments come in the same applies to us of course
I cant see cardiff getting anywhere near the top next season, Not with Baby face anyway. Malkey maybe but OGS not a chance there are far bigger better clubs better run in the championship...
This is the main reason why it will be such a competitive championship - money and everyone is desperate for a slice of the action! Due to the new broadcasting deal you earned more television cash in the 2013-14 season than Manchester United did for winning the Premier League a year earlier. "United earned £89.1m in 2013-14, but the £60.8m they picked up as champions 12 months prior was beaten by Cardiff, who received £62.1m."
Time will tell David Lets hope Bob Monk does the job for you because obviously there are far bigger teams than Swansea, well, nearly all of them are bigger right? Will need to be on your A game. Goodluck, hope we can beat the "bigger" and "better" teams in our league
Personally I think we will struggle unless we get quality players in. We won the championship on relegation form with a decent championship manager. The championship will be a lot harder next season and I hope Ole proves me wrong about my opinion of his ability.
Guys, lets get it in perspective. Joining us in January with 3 away games at the 2 Mancs and Arsenal was hardly an ideal start. From his interview on WoL he still seems really positive and now has the chance to start building his own team and style in a challenging league but with less talented opposition than in the Prem. Also, he says he has bought a house in south Wales and his family are to join him shortly. That is all good and shows commitment by him. I wonder when the retained/offloads/will accept offers for list will be published? Then we will get a much better handle on his views on developing the squad and tactics for next season.
like who? chances are we'll have a squad with much more talent than the one in which we won the league with. having a well run club does not lead to results, having good players does though.
^^Grow up^^ With the money you're going to get for falling out of the League (more than Man U got last season for being Champions) you should be the envy of every other club in the Division, and if you screw it up you'll only have yourselves to blame. Most clubs in the Championship will have a small fraction of Cardiff's resources.
