Just realised, the transfer window doesn't open fully until July 1st. Lots of rumours will be flung around until something actually happens for real.

 

Nah, the domestic transfer window opens the moment the season ends - we signed Jay Rodriguez in early June.

 

I don't think he said it in that context. He was asked if Southampton would pay a player £100,000 a week. He replied 'Only if we were playing in the Champions League in front of 50,000.

 

That's how I understood it, but there is little movement even in the lower Leagues at the moment.

 

The lower leagues haven't ended yet, there are still playoffs going on.

 

Yes, of course, I don't tend to follow them a lot!

Rumours of a deal already made with a player who wants it sorted before the World Cup....sounds familiar. But of course, I believe this one

 

Good find, even if it is an unknown website quoting another unknown website. This is a situation which I do believe will be sorted before the world cup. If Pochettino does not sign a new contract soon then this would be a good consolation prize in terms of good news.

Reading this thread has started to get me worked up about it all now! Since the seasons ended, I've not really taken any notice of any Saints related rumours - if I read the same stuff over and over I start to convince myself its true.

We'll all be here come the end of the summer, if players/poch want to leave then I believe they will, and if that's the case then I'll start taking notice of rumours for replacements! too early?

 

If it is tweeted on #saintsfc enough will it come true? Kasper Schmeichel rumoured to be signing for us, why would he do that when his team has just been promoted, it doesn't make sense to me, unless they have lined up an even better replacement!

 

Maybe he thinks we're better/wants more money/doesn't like his teammates or something.

 

In your opinion would he back Artur up or replace him!

 

It doesn't really matter who or what Leicester have planned, if Kasper wants out, he can walk as he is out of contract.... I believe.

 

Put it this way, if Artur takes one step out of line, performs badly (if selected as first choice) then Kasper would gobble up any chance offered. We may just see Artur lose that tyre he came back with after injury.

 

I think to attract him we'd have to give him first team football, or at least an assurance that he would get it before too long.

 

We certainly do need to strengthen the GK position so this would be a positive move, if true.
