Whichever way you look at it Lennon and Mackay are pretty much opposites. It is a fascinating decision to have to make and some of the things that I actually dislike about Lennon just might be what our club needs at this time. I would question whether Malky could get the best out of the team week in week out, but he is less likely to be sent to the stands.

 

why are people questioning mackay's motivational skills? have you read what craig bellamy said about him, that players will run through brick walls for him? i sort of understand people questioning his style, although they are getting stuck on the wrong aspect and seem more bothered about dissecting one game against us. his teams are direct (not hoofball). they play with width and get the ball forward quickly - that isn't going to be everyones cup of tea but nobody was complaining (too hard) about lambert's norwich side playing that way in most games. the only major thing you can question him on is his potential to manage in the premier league - do we need to worry about that next season?

 

Seems like people are anti-Malky before he's even started(if he starts), poor fella.

 

oh absolutely the top two should be the target but the minimum requirement should be top six. i didn't phrase it very well

 

Sorry, to qualify this was a comparison between the two of them and I feel that Lennon would squeeze that bit more out of the team as he appears a more aggressive kind of character, that was what I was getting at. But for aggression read temperamental which could backfire, that is the anomaly between them IMO.

So strange, seems such a long time to take to appoint a person who's out of work ie malky/Zola but seems so quite for it to be someone within a job ie Lennon.
